Well, by saying "you either interfere and the game is forfeit , or the escape won't happen because the BH are there to catch your friends" i think it obviously implies that either Baam and co get captured by the BH's and fail to escape, or they interfere and forfeit the match, either way it's checkmate.Btw, this chapter was enjoyable more or less if I don't consider the dialogues at some places which are really giving me a headache.
I feel like Khun thinks he has made a pact with Death God itself. Look at his audacity. He has style though not gonna lie.
I guess dying and nearly dying many times and getting revived back does that to you.
As a chess lover, I expected a little bit more reading this chapter but that's ok.
While discussing the war, panel showed two turtle pieces( soldier?) diagonally with another blocking the way, so I guess it refers to the fact that Rei had no choice but to go to war and he wasn't the offender to begin with( which we already know).
Also, while discussing the Icarus the King relevant piece got lifted (I guess?).
Btw, looking at the panels closely the only thing I see is Khun giving good moves and none of Rei's big brain moves.
I think by "traitor" Rei is including Baam and company as well and the condition is for Khun to not interfere. Which would be strange since even by doing so, he can't achieve much. Probably only relay info. and stuff. But we will see.
Dude, your example....Traumerei can very well massacre every single one of the PB by himself lol only Gustang is a threat but if he does so the ten great family reputation and the tower will be in chaos it like as if usa try attacking Russia it would have a hell lot of impact in worldwide
Traumerei doesn't underestimate bam he is well aware of his ability and know well that for now bam isn't a menace to him neither for jahad but traumerei did told jahad that he intend test bam to see his potentialAnd I think that's precisely the point, Traumerei always underestimates Baam, even though he's an irregular.
You're a chess-lover, and yet you expected more from SIU?Btw, this chapter was enjoyable more or less if I don't consider the dialogues at some places which are really giving me a headache.

Sure, as far as flushing out the rats.Though, having Baam escape and meddle with Family traitors is already a big win in getting a chance at controlling Baam. Having Khun act as Baam agent and setting up the bet, the tournament was always gonna result with either a Baam win or a Traumerei interference, this development with Baam trying to work with and save other tower borns is definitely a good thing for Rei.
*eyeballs Rak*Plot twist: Gustang was not aizen![]()
I bet Rei was bullied by other FHs a lot during their travel if he is that vulnerable.AA: *jingles keys*
Rei: Oh, I used to play that. Forget the important stuff that I *REALLY* should be overseeing myself...
My interpretation is that Khun made a bet with Rei that is binding for Baam. If he fails to escape or inteferes in any way with the traitors he is obliged to get married immediately. Baam is too honest not to honor his promises and he definitely gave permission to Khun to negotitate with Rei.Sure, as far as flushing out the rats.
Not so much in controlling Baam in the long run though, right?
Unless you mean more hostages = good thing.
I get becoming confused enough by questioning yourself because you lost your memories - to the point that you become a Zahard lapdog. That much is explainable and even excusable to a point.I bet Rei was bullied by other FHs a lot during their travel if he is that vulnerable.
Probably, V-aniki and Arlene-neesan were the only ones who understood and treated him nicely.
He needs to get his memories back and join Team Baam. What else is left ? Most of his Family is almost dead anyways.
Also, he can easily lose control over this whole thing due to outside interference( Gustang?).

Right, and my point is that it is an unnecessary risk for Rei. IF Baam escapes, will Rei abide by his promise? Binding how, if not a contract with Admin? Based on his word? The guy thinks he's a god.My interpretation is that Khun made a bet with Rei that is binding for Baam. My guess on what Traum's memories contain? They killed his dog, then stole his ride.I bet Rei was bullied by other FHs a lot during their travel if he is that vulnerable.

That hurt. You're a chess-lover, and yet you expected more from SIU?
What a rook-ie mistake.
I dont like that piece much.( I use that as a sacrificial piece a lot of times, haha.)
At a minimum there are two branch heads there. That should be more than enough to keep bam and yuri busy. And odds are that traumerei can simply use the teleporter when he wants. He did something like that before iirc.If he can personally teleport there as well yes, if he is stuck at the mothership he likely has no real grasp on Baam
It has to cool down/warm up, unless that's BS.At a minimum there are two branch heads there. That should be more than enough to keep bam and yuri busy. And odds are that traumerei can simply use the teleporter when he wants. He did something like that before iirc.
I agree with you talking about the big picture, not so much in regards to Rei/Baam. I think Rei has effectively 100% checkmated him. But, i agree in saying it's a very risky move because i wouldn't be surprised to see Gustang/Hwaryun/Luslec waiting at the other side of the portal, if the BH's can't get to Baam, he has effectively lost. But i repeat, the plan of using Baam in the war from Rei had basically 0% chances of success rate from the beginning, now he just might get him to cooperate on the basis of a fair bet Khun placed for him.Right, and my point is that it is an unnecessary risk for Rei. Plus, Baam had his fingers crossed behind his back, so AA had no agency.
Trauma- rei?I get becoming confused enough by questioning yourself because you lost your memories - to the point that you become a Zahard lapdog. That much is explainable and even excusable to a point.
What's his excuse for turning into such a despotic, evil piece of shit? He forgot his memories so he started masochistically fucking with people's lives to the point of getting off at their misery?

Don't get me wrong, I do want him to join Baam's side though![]()
Saying Baam needs anyones help at this point is absurd. He one shot a BH already. And this was AFTER w/e crazy spell power-up Gustang gave him to make him go beserk. At a minimum there are two branch heads there. That should be more than enough to keep bam and yuri busy. And odds are that traumerei can simply use the teleporter when he wants. He did something like that before iirc.

Baam and Rei had an agreement, participate in the competition, stay in the hotel until the lights turn on at that stage. If Baam leaves the hotel he is eliminated unless Khun striked a new deal with Rei or he manages to escape for good.I don't know why you are thinking this.
This bet was never valid, Rei was just performing his fetish, from the beginning, bet or not, he would get Baam.
