To be fair, it is weird that urek was excited about being able to fight without worry against a clown like danzon but doesn't seem to mind eduan one way or the other. Granted there's other stuff going on but it'd make more sense if urek was salivating for a fun fight. Eduan is somewhat of a dick in the way he treats others but you'd think this early eduan and urek would be on their way to an epic bromance until things sour.

I don't think Urek doesn't want to fight Eduan, it's just a timing issue.

When Danzon challenged him, Urek was even greener and because of Danzon's threats, plus the mystery of Shinsoo his expectations were huge. Danzon challenged him to the death too.

Eduan met him during the second test where he had to deal with Aubryon, Mago and the test. This time there is another test and he is dealing with Mago/Nameless. If Urek didn't want to fight he would have simply said so.

Let's say it gets postponed because of Latour or whatever. Is it going to continue like this for millennia? It would be OOC for both of them.

Because the Ureks fun training side quest turned into a main quest.

First it was cool ill fool around and train while trying to figure out how to get out of here. Then it was this quest is kinda annoying shinnies are here because of Phanta. Guess the quest escalated into a story quest.

This tower is a axis field for making a Axis and Phanta wants to stop the Axis from being made and rule the tower. Welp guess this is my main quest now.

In a slightly offtopic post, I've been re-reading all of TOG since it has been 10+ years since I started.

At the Name hunt station when Baam is fighting Kaiser, she said an interesting line when she realized he's special/why was chosen as a slayer candidate:

season 2 ch 218:

it's not because he's a gemstone with exceptional talent

So SIU was already dropping hints on shining ones/gemstones back then. I completely forgot about it til now.

At the Name hunt station when Baam is fighting Kaiser, she said an interesting line when she realized he's special/why was chosen as a slayer candidate:

I think you are looking too hard into this. Calling talented people jewels is nothing new.

And Baam does have exceptional talent.

Elaine is at least 1000 years old so it fits into this timeline we're now establishing the time period.

And no while colloquially we call someone a gem, it's not used loosely by SIU before this.

Don't have to be a shiny to have a gem stone. All the shinnie pawns get gems for power ups. Gem can just be someone shinnie affiliated. The fat regular still has a gem. All shinie powered up rankers have gems.

I can see that it's still a surviving misconception in the fandom over there that Arie Hagriphone took the same test Urek did at floor 100 in the blogs.

Funny stuff, depending on if she still exists then perhaps we'd be getting the correction to it in this story potentially.

The reason why it wasn't the same test is because Arie Hon's profile states he hasn't fought anyone else after Urek.

The test historically wasn't such a thing where you fight Hon, it was something else before Urek and returned to the status quo after Urek.

Assuming Hagi exists, she already passed the test. It's also possible that she doesn't exist and her feats will be attributed to Adori instead.

Ehn, Adori's claim to fame in the story as of now was beating a ranker as a B-rank regular if i remember correctly.

Which would mean if Hagiphone doesn't exist anymore, perhaps it could be attributed to Enne being the last known person before Urek to switch it up a bit.

Then again, Nameless will be coming for Adori's feats and even much better than that very soon and the explanation we'd get is that her history was erased so it continues making sense for why Adori holds the record.


But outside this, kinda don't see Adori getting anything past the B-rank stuff.
