Theoretically to your point tho, Kyoshi doesn't feel like a naturally long series (could be wrong but everyone seems to agree). So let's say it gets it's anime announced at Festa, wouldn't it likely air still after the manga ends. I can't see it going more than 4 years myself

As a long time fan, all I could want at this point is for Kiyoshi to get a full run that doesn’t feel too rushed. I think it’s definitely doable, the next arc could easily be the last and I’d be fine with that (in fact I’d prefer it tbh). I don’t see it lasting too much longer as it is anyways, there is
one more Great Demon Lord left to reveal and it would structure the series up quite nicely, with 3 major arcs, each one ending with Kiyoshi defeating a Great Demon Lord.

People said the same thing during the Black Parade, "ohh how the manga will continue from here, i just can't see how! he's already fighting against the demon lord and etc", and here we are the manga got even better after it moved on from the Black Parade, also the series didn't even properly touched the angels race yet that were casually introduced in the Black Parade and the author can just create more stuff, so there's plenty of things that can be done with the series, i also have this sensation that people just gets naturally inclined to think the series isnt going to be long due to the low sales, if the series were selling like 30k+ i really doubt anyone would be thinking like this too much

Btw, if the anime gets announced this December at Festa Kiyoshi would have exactly 120-ish chapters, which is actually a standard lenght for a weekly battle shounen series to get anime so it would definitely air in 2027 when the manga would complete 3 years, so it would be just being normally published while S1 broadcast.

I'm looking at Kiyoshi's length as similar to Mashle's from a few years back. That series ran for just over 3 years. Now I doubt Kiyoshi gets an anime as quickly as Mashle did, but I do think they'd be alike in the anime coming out after they have already concluded.
Of course I could cope that Kiyoshi will actually run for closer to 4 years, and there'll actually be 4 arcs, but thats just cope in the end.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

My cope for anything past 3 years is just with us being introduced to 2 new cross paladins before this arc began + his grandmother being a character who was set up back in the early chapters of the series. I can sorta see an arc that chooses to not focus on the final villain, and instead is some sort of training arc or even yeah an angel arc.

I don't think Mashle is the best example to use, it only reached 3 years because the author very clearly stretched the manga just to fit with the anime broadcast, to the point where the manga ended 2 days after S1 ended, so everything was very in sync, it would have ended even earlier if wasn't for the anime.

I was more meaning runtime of about 3 years, to just show that intentionally shorter series have run in jump before. But also on that point, pretty funny for you to say that the series was being stretched (I 100% agree, I think that last stretch of the series kinda sucked), because I've seen a few mashle fans argue the opposite, and that the series was "ended early" to coincide with the anime releasing???

Any predictions on where the series from the latest batch will be in the rankings when they finally get them?

I do agree that Kiyoshi’s pacing as is feels like it lends itself to a Mashle-sized run; that is, I don’t expect it to end after next arc, but I don’t expect it to be much more than about double the size. Something like with these two demon lords covering their own arcs, either 2 more mega-arcs on the scale of these two or one big final stretch. Unsure which direction to lean though. As for when the anime comes out… I sure hope they don’t wait until it’s over to announce it (and really they shouldn’t have to hopefully; the only series taking priority over Kiyoshi’s whole bundle are Nue, Kagurabachi, and Ichi, so come 1 year from now when they’ll likely have made at least 3 new announcements it’ll be in the next block of things ready to go.

Issue 14 2026 chapter reviews:

1. Nue's Exorcist: I wanna start by saying MAN I TOLD YOU ALL! We've been through this with Suzaku already, why did people genuinely think this fight was over? Anyways, the fact that Soranaki's a scientist is forever relevant, literally inbreeding his own children to have them be extra lives. It puts him in direct contrast with Suzaku, who literally NERFED herself into oblivion to make sure her family would be alright. And in a way, not only did he survive Gakuro's attack, he legitimately got what he wanted: feeling, the one feeling he could not achieve without Gakuro, one that is foreign to any Hyo: death, mortality, and it is represented INSANELY, his brain EXPLODING with flashing info. And due to that, we proceeded to his second Hollpw Weapon, Divine Tongue. The Raijin connection should have been super obvious in retrospect, a being made of thunder who loves festivals. The sheer power of the blasts completely recontextualizes the achievement of Moonlit Night's End: it sinply isn't enough. Gakuro and Natsuki got absolutely wrecked now, and it makes us understand just how much Suzaku held back. The future Hyo won't fall to this blade alone. Notice how even as he himself fell he could only think of Natsuki and Reina... And then there is Nue's moment. I think this is the very first time she completely lost her cool, and her character this arc just feels... Different. In a good way. Soranaki truly hurt her, there's no two ways about it, she cried, she screamed and she despaired, and bow Gakuro will NOT let that happen again. The first and last of her contractors are now combining to defeat her arguably greatest foe... Also did I mention how insane the artwork is as always? Cause it is!
Now there is something a fellow fan pointed out to me: instead of Natsuki, it is Soranaki that is the person needing saving this arc, and Gekka is the true hero here, NOT Gakuro. I'll leave that up to your imagination.. 11/10 once again!!

2. Kagurabachi: Boy am I glad that we are getting a proper flashback arc. There is so much to explore, and now we are seeing first hand how important Shiba IS to the setting- he brought the damn material to Kunishige, he basically STARTED the spiral leading to the enchanted blades, and that I find very interesting. I fully expect the people of Shokoku to be perfectly normal and only scary to the government, which is realistically quick to assume the worst.

3. Ichi The Witch: The final talk between Minerva and Chro was great, really emotional, and if Kizashi dies I honestly will count it as a win after this arc, and most of all... DESS!! She's back and FINALLY KICKING ASS LIKE SHE SHOULD, and her emotional damage is unlikely to be resolved so quickly going by that expression so I am very much looking forward to it. The diffetence in quality between this arc's end and everything else is STAGGERING, but better late than never.

4. Someone Hertz: Back to basics more or less with this chapter but it's one of the better ones. Seeing Mizuo actually startled is really adorable especially. Not much to say but very, very cute.

5. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo: While I still feel bitter about last chapter, I have to say, I like how nicely things are wrapping up, a deserved happy ending after all the struggles of both this series AND the original JJK.

6. JK Yuusha: Really cute and dare I say, doesn't really give axe vibes yet. This series might just last an extra batch and I'd be happy if it does.

7. Kinato's Magic: I am not going to touch too much on the "controversy" csuse I think it is dumb and performative rage over something that isn't even what people are "mad" about once you actually READ the damn thing. Anyways, this switch up so early on IS quite lame in my opinion, but at least you can see that it is still a character flaw that can be tackled in the future, so I can wait and see. That, and I like this new guy already, quite an amusing introduction.

8. Alien Headbutt: Again, it's alright, that shot of the zooming bite was really creative and I always appreciate stuff like this, the actuon itself isn't BAD either. It's just real meathead stuff and I find it harder to truly care about by the week.

9. The Mage Next Door: You can tell it got axed because it finally revealed actually interesting stuff about the main character and the background of the series. I swear these things NEED to be in earlier chapters, the mention of war and all that. It's now too late for the readers to even BEGIN caring about it, especially after all the childish dialogue we've been subjected too. Allude to it with all the Doroi mages early on instead of them just stealing some stuff, have them mention the past conflict or something! Oh well.

10. Under Doctor: Magic hands at it again! They can help with your eyesight, your disability since childhood, everything! Truly an UNDER DOCTOR if I've ver seen one!

11. Gonron Egg: I wanted to keep the "egg recipe" bit going, but this chapter just HAD to explain to the audience shit that we've known since the manga revealed its premise. Why???? It's getting axed obviously, why spend precious time for a recap of the obvious???? Also rip her I guess, rest in pepperoni.

Under Doctor will have at least a decent 1st ranking since the chapter was pretty well received online, the rest of the series i don't know. Kinato i expect to also have similar placement for the 1st ranking but going up in the next weeks. Alien Headbutt will easily be the flop of the trio, not because its bad because it's not but it simply didn't live up to the hype, also J+ views and different than Ping Pong Peril it's not even making any waves in the discussion Forums or Twitter.

I don't think it has to do with sales, at least not entirely. People have been talking about Sakamoto Days ending for like a year now and while it's wrapping up it definitely was premature. My assumption is people who are fans want to know how much they got left and people who aren't want to know when a new round might come

Also to your point, could the series go beyond the other two demon lords? Sure. But all we can use as information is what we have in front of us. So, it certainly seems like it'll end soon but will it? Only Jump and Usui know that. As stated above, I only hope if it does go longer it's not just running in place. Definitely not worth extending something for no reason, it'll just ruin any good merit the series has. I'd much rather it have a natural end whenever that is and see Usui back sooner than later

I don't think Saito will do the weird Kill Blue- Chojo thing again, so I expect Kiyoshi to get an anime and to get "protection" until it starts airing. Not sure about the manga's length beyond that.

I want to ask everyone now due to the recent conclusion for Modulo (I know I’m early because the chapter isn’t out), I want to ask on where you see the 4 other series set for their conclusions in Me & Roboco, Sakamoto Days, Witch Watch, and Blue Box? I have this feeling that all 4 series will conclude on volume 30, each. But I would like to pass this on to all of you because I am curious and I’m about to go to sleep.

Sakamoto days will be done by november (there's like 4 fights left now), witch watch by november/early 2027 (still too early in the arc to predict), Blue Box by september (we really only taiki stuff left? The side couple stuff feels like its been completed), and then I don't read enough Roboco to know how much of it is left, but sure why not, whenever volume 30 hits.

From somebody who doesn't read any of these:

Roboco makes sense for 30 volumes from what we already discussed in thread
Sakamoto Days everyone says will end this summer. If it ends for the early 40s round, it'll probably wrap up in ~25 chapters which would put it at 30-31 volumes, so about
Witch Watch is the biggest mystery to me (I feel like people just don't talk as much about it). To get to 30 on the dot, it would be about 26 more chapters. Is that enough? Idk lol
I think Blue Box will fall slightly short. It's almost completed 26 volumes but it would need to go for another ~40 chapters. Just don't see it somehow lasting almost a whole year still but who knows

I think there is a good chance that there is a demon king or something like that who sits above the great demon lords. Maybe also a potential major arc in the "angel realm" or wherever the angels are

I read the One Piece Wiki to find the name of a Devil Fruit and looked up other Devil Fruits and got spoiled on some things. I also got spoiled by a couple of things from Google Gemini,

Should I just keep going?
