1. Blue Box: Yusa has that sports mentality that top NBA stars are said to have, being obsessed with training and winning at all costs. I have always liked him as the "main villain" of the series so I enjoyed having a chapter about him. There was also a rare appearence of Harui's sister (I think that's what she was, at least), I forgot about her...she had a crush on Taiki didn't she? I don't remember if it was ever addressed since the character quietly disappeared at some point.
2. Akane-banashi: Oh wow, the God of Death presented by Akane is truly scary. I was among those eyes watching and judging her, and now I'm captivated. Maybe it's also the chance to see the story performed from beginning to end?
3. Kagurabachi: I was confused for a moment in thinking that Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo wasn't over, because this chapter has a clear Akutami influence in the narration style. Unlike his inspirator, it knows when to stop with the infodump, so it resulted ambitious but enjoyable, and was clear from beginning to end. If it continues this way, it can result in a very nice flashback arc.
4. Sakamoto Days: This was a very good fight, probably the best from the electrical guy who has always been underwhelming. And it is probably the best fight of Shishiba too, although I don't remember much about his other battles.
5. Under Doctor: This is a battle chapter, which is a very important test for the series at this stage. It's not very good with panels of people in pain, and it needs to find a more engaging way to explain the techniques used (its inspiration Hokuto no Ken was way better in that regard), but it compensates with the characterizations of the fighters and the story behind their relationship, so overall I am satisfied for now. But I am not 100% sold yet for the future.
6. Alien Headbutt: Decent chapter until the alien started begging for their life, then it became very good. And new characters at the end! This is the best character introduction of the week (see below for less good examples).
7. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: I just bought a new car, and hopefully my loan company is not as evil as this, or I would be in big trouble. Actually, how come all those top level demons fell for that? Anyway, nice chapter with a number of good gags, although it's a pity that they come from a character that was so intimidating just a month ago.
8. Someone Hertz: I can help her with math if she wants, we just have to figure out what is the standard fee for private lessons in Japan and then convert it from Yen to Euros. The chapter was nice when the focus moved to another character, who provide some diversity in the weekly structure of the chapters and present herself as the true rival of Mimei. Hope we get more of this kind of stories in the future.
9. The Mage Next Door: I liked the ending. Actually I liked the series and the vibes, apart from some strange narrative choices expecially at the end. In my opinion, it had personality and an idea with potential behind it, unfortunately the author didn't have the time to express it at full in the ruthless world of Jump. I hope they return with a new, succesful story!
10. One Piece: Once again, avoiding spoilers is almost impossible. Apart from the final page, the chapter was full of interesting tidbits like the steel heart or the Mother Flame discussion. As for the final page itself, as a friend of mine pointed out the design looks like it came out from a chapter of Naruto.
11. Shinobi Undercover: For all that talk about not having to always rely on Yodaka, they sure were fast at begging for him to come back when the enemy got too powerful. That was expected though, and his appearence in the end was as cool as it was necessary to provide a good moment for the future anime.
12. Hima-Ten!: Kanna is now 100% out of the way, even the siblings rooting for her subplot has been addressed hastily. A good Himari chapter where she positions herself as still in competition, while Kanai is doing nothing and assuming she wins by default. I am ready to move to the confession day at this point.
13. Ichi the Witch: A chapter dedicated to the introduction of two new characters, for which I didn't feel anything. They were as bland as the standard axeable series when they introduce new people out of desperation: and there is also the fact that a male police organization of sorts always existed but nobody cared to mention it, which is a typical mistake that almost every series does when new people are introduced. They will be soon redeemed by a wonderful arc and compelling backstories, but the introduction didn't leave the mark.
14. Kinato's Magic: Actually, both of the Magic Association series have botched their character indtroductions this week. The new bad and powerful characters coming to ruin an already resolved situation is a trope that I never liked. Why having to disrupt the peace like that? Couldn't they play the same scene once they returned to the guild town? The council of powerful guild was fun at least, poor chairwoman.
15. Hero Girl and Demon Lord call it quits: Well, no, this doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to end next week. It can happen, yes, but it's not so obvious as this may also be the setup for the final arc that may drag the series until the next axing round. Actually, it if were a succesful series we could have had the same chapter and everyone would talk about a development for new character dynamics.
16. Roku's House of Oddities: This was the one for which I had the most curiosity for the new batch, as I didn't read Agravity Boys and I wanted to get to know the author style. And well...for an horror comedy or whatever, I was neither scared nor brought to laughs. I was just impassible the whole time, and I didn't find anything in the whole first chapter that I could define original or captivating. The positive here is that the premise is cleverly setup in a way that it is easy to conclude it quickly in case of axe. I'll keep following this but I don't expect miracles.
17. Me and Roboco: Not the most inspired chapter but there were a couple of funny details, like the repetition of the structure with the clinched fist and the fact that every restyling kept something of the previous attempts in background. Oh, and also the subversion of the roles of the comedian (Bondo) and the straight man (Roboco). But unfortunately, the theme of the episode wasn't very catchy.
18. Nue's Exorcist: Classic ecchi and harem discussion scene at the end of an important action arc. I know what to expect from the series at this point so I am not mad, but as always I can't pretend that I like the tone shift.

The site isn't available in my country.

What are we supposed to see?
...how on earth a normal jp news site got banned, but oh well
It's an article about how "kids under 20 nowaday are losing interest in manga" with a sale graph below:

Orange: Tankoubon
Yellow: Manga magazine
Green: Digital

yeah I kinda messed up the color in previous post because the color looked different in my phone
Jump still dominated for boys tho, according to the survey, but it seems there is a difference between "Weekly Shonen Jump" and "Jump"?

Wow, this week Nue chapter tweet reached 10k likes in less than 24 hours!

Machida obliterated the record set by Natsuki on chapter 115 with 6.2k likes, i think this is maybe the most liked Nue tweet from the account? :hee

WEEKLY SJONEN JUMP ISSUE #19 (2026) - AUTHOR COMMENTS!

Roku’s House of Oddities (Atsushi Nakamura)

This is my third serialization, but I plan to attack this with a rookie mindset and focus on making the characters as appealing as possible.

Someone Hertz (Ei Yamano)

I got two points on a math test once… Two points of what?

One Piece (Eiichiro Oda)

I’m so happy with all the positive reviews for season 2 of the live-action show! I want all the kids in the world to watch it!

Kagurabachi (Takeru Hokazono)

Spider-Noir looks really cool. Can’t wait!!!!!!

Me & Roboco (Shuhei Miyazaki)

Fly-fishing season has started, but I haven’t been able to go yet! I want to meet some fish for the first time in forever!

Ichi the Witch (Shiro Usazaki)

I finally finished Project Hail Mary from my backlog. Time to watch the movie!

Blue Box (Kouji Miura)

The iwashi senbei yuzu soy sauce at 7-Eleven is super delicious.

Sakamoto Days (Yuto Suzuki)

I finally watched all of Gannibal! It was super gory but super good!

Akane-banashi (Yuki Suenaga)

The anime has finally started airing! Yay! It’s thanks to all the support you’ve given us!

Under Doctor (Kyo Tanimoto)

My hair gets in the way, so I was debating cutting it all off, but I decided not to because I might look scary.

Kinato’s Magic (Kento Amemiya)

I love Google Maps. I place a pin in a random place and explore the area. It’s a virtual vacation.

Shinobi Undercover (Ippon Takegushi)

I bought a small vase and put a flower in my room. Feels good.

Alien Headbutt (Akira Inui)

The new Spider-Man trailer is out. I can’t wait to see what the story will be like.

Nue’s Exorcist (Kota Kawae)

The night in Tokyo still feels bright, and I feel it provides some mental strength.

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi (Shoichi Usui)

I write a lot about playing games in the extras, and my friend asked me if I’m even working. Yes, I am!

Hima-Ten! (Genki Ono)

I recently started whitening my teeth. They’re so white, and I love it.

Hero Girl and the Demon Lord Call It Quits (Matsuri Hatsubina)

I’ve come to the realization that the best thing to play in the background while I’m working all-nighters is an anime with characters who are emotionally stable.

The Mage Next Door (Hideaki Nabe)

Thank you so much for the survey votes and fan mail!! I’ll work hard and return!!!

Most tweeted Jump chapters of issue #19!

Kinato is back in the top 10 and seems like Alien is slowly building more interest online in the last weeks after being dead for a while. The Mage Next Door charts with the final chapter.

Roku charted at 4th with 161 mentions but it's not the most talked new series of the year, actually Alien Headbutt is with 189 mentions, Kinato's Magic in 2nd with 168 and Under Doctor in last with 123 mentions!

Wonder what this leads to with the three series, 'cause it feels like Butthead is ending the way the last chapter played out, in my opinion. But curious about Under Doctor and Kinato Magic at least.

Also, did any of the author names I mentioned for Jump Giga Spring 2026 interest you? I did post a few one-shots; some of the authors there had already done so, so having an honest opinion is nice.

There are many negative tweets about this week's Kinato though. Not that everyone hates it, but reception is slipping.

I didn’t dislike it, but it was a bit sudden and he really is not beating the Deku allegations after some of those panels.

Holy hell, that manga magazine sale ratio
Red: Tankoubon sale
Orange: Manga magazine sale
Green: Digital manga sale
It is pretty worrying IMO. To some extent it is expected because there is simply way more stuff fighting for kids attention nowadays like TikTok so the competition is likely higher but it's never good when a medium that was so dominant with the youth has lost some appeal

Lots of manga will do homage panels or scenes though. At least it's not Black Clover level of lifting. Hell, that new series from WSM Ura Tokyo has lifted several scenes/elements from Hunter x Hunter and I haven't seen any complaints about that.
A homage is fine as long as the manga still feels like it's own thing overall, which both Kinato and Ura Tokyo do, despite both wearing their influences on their sleeves.

Fair. I think it just feels a little more overt here since his design was already getting compared to Deku and now you have a scene of “MC uses powerful ability on himself that he can’t control fully which let’s him do a super punch likely at the cost of damaging himself” and it’s hard not to see the parallel.

Either way that’s probably the less important takeaway from the chapter compared to the developments around that, at least in terms of a survivability analysis standpoint.

Gon has done that twice. Against Genthuru, and then arguably against Pitou. It's been done in quite a few other manga before MHA as well. Certainly the scene in Kinato is clearly meant to call back to MHA, but MHA wasn't the first to do that either.
I get what you're saying, and it's something that would've probably bugged me years ago (I was the biggest Black Clover hater in its early days), but like, lots of shonen manga wear their influences on their sleeves. As long as they pull it off well, I personally don't have much of an issue with it.

Seems like Nue's Exorcist volumes are having another moment similar to when Natsuki was introduced, all volumes (excluding vol 2) are charting on Amazon in the 1k ~ 2k range for physical and below 1k for digital

Physical / Digital

Vol 1: #1,853 / #960
Vol 2: #2,131 / #1,104
Vol 3: #1,846 / #952
Vol 4: #1,886 / #965
Vol 5: #1,928 / #980
Vol 6: #1,957 / #993
Vol 7: #1,777 / #933
Vol 8: #1,795 / #940
Vol 9: #1,727 / #909
Vol 10: #1,714 / #888
Vol 11: #1,418 / #702
Vol 12: #1,157 / #600
Vol 13: #375 / #165
Vol 14: #177 / #98

Of course not enough to enter Shoseki Top 500 but they're doing pretty well on Amazon right now 👍

I wonder if this is the Natsuki in the vol cover effect or Machida naked in the chapter effect kkkk

I wonder how much backlog we don't see on these charts because of digital and ranking below the top 500 because Nue's circulation actually grew from last time even though we have this idea of "decline" focusing exclusively on monthly sales for new volumes (going against the dumb narrative of "overprinting" that haters say for everything they don't like).

Seems like it's similar to Natsuki's "boost" because these viral posts always get a ton of replies and quotes asking what manga it is. lol
