#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

I'm just saying that people assumed this batch was going to do really well, but there were always hints of low engagement, including the bad views numbers, and more divisive comments. They weren't like Hertz that anyone who checked japanese reception could easily expect it to do well.

Like you said, it feels like they have no reach. The readers keep basically refusing to give a chance to almost all newbies from the start, like you mentioned before. I don't know how Jump can fix this, but the impression I get is that they just assume everything they debut will be bad and axed soon, so they don't even bother reading.



Maybe, but it's a romcom, so you know how things go. If he wanted this arc could easily end with Iemori telling all the girls he likes all of them, needs more time to think and setting a new status quo.

Haters, both in Japan and in the west, are extremely annoying about this manga. lol They just keep forcing this narrative about how it's failing and "we have Hertz now, it can go". Logically, it makes no sense to axe Himaten, it sells way better than any newbies and if it ends I can imagine it just being Ono's decision. While the TOC is bad, it gets color pages sometimes like Nue (lower frequency, of course) and recently had one of the most high profile Jump MVs.

Tbh, i can see Hima-Ten just being a shorter than usual romcom, like 3 years, i don't feel like Ono wants to go the Komi Naoshi route and thank God for that!

Class 2-B Jump cover tweet already has 1.2k likes, people are hyped lol

I will only get the chapter on Friday but looking at the color pages and Ryo praise for ch1, i'm already feeling quite confident about this series being a obvious hit, i wasn't feeling that much by just the description & preview but the color pages looks great, Sorachi art already instantly stand out from the rest of the magazine line up, so it elevated my confidence quite a lot already.

I wouldn't go too crazy until it has a string of good chapters.
Even then, obviously, a popular veteran author would have to do the bare minimum to get a sure fire hit from the get go. It's past vol 1 where fans starts judging it objectively and we get a proper gauge of the series actual popularity.

In general yeah, Twitter was taking this batch as a confirmed hit and now are shocked, for example. lol I assume next batch Kinato, Alien and the oneshots end, and Under Doctor lasts for a while like Otr.

So far, Saito is keeping Kyoshi in the magazine, with good rankings and many color pages (if you're not careful, Kyoshi probably has more color pages than Kagurabachi), so I don't understand the fuss. Even with its "rushed ending," Kill Blue premiered an anime, something that many canceled manga didn't have the opportunity to do.

There's a clear theme in this festival, all the one shots are a either about Exorcist & Supernatural Creatures mixed with romance & action, i think they all interesting.

Kagurabachi doesn't get many color pages because of Hokazono's condition. He isn't able to do that many color pages.

I know Hokazono's condition isn't the best, but I don't think it's necessary to dedicate so many colored pages to Kiyoshi.

Glad to see a Himaten color page, I'm getting tired of all the posts that keep assuming it's over just because they want it.

I don't think it's wishful thinking. It's a harem series where a bunch of side characters have stopped showing up and one of the harem members got definitively rejected. It's only natural for most people to interpret that as the series getting closer to its ending.

I will be an oshirihole and say: "Give me my spokon manga with ikemen". Seriously. I was hopeful with the baseball and soccer ones last times, and this time nada! Even the oneshots.

I don't really know for all shounen manga, but what I see in a lot of shonen manga, from far away, is that they check all the "shounen manga" cases in structure/settei/concept/charadesign, but they are boring because characters seem like puppets to the authors...

I don't know if I'm the only one feeling that...

Gonna watch again Daiya no A. At least, the characters are interesting and we learn things about baseball.
