I'm really enjoying the arc personally, but I'm still unsure of the scope of it. If it does go through creating the blades, how the war went, the conclusion with Rokuhira uncle killing them all, then possibly even fighting back against him and confining him afterwards, that could be a full length part 2. Which is very long for a flashback.

I'd be happy to see that personally and it's not like the series will even be at risk of cancellation, but that's a very long time to be away from the MC of a series so heavily focused on its main character.

Class 2:B: Yeah so far i definitely have to say i'm enjoying both Roku & Firefly more than Class 2-B which doesn't mean i'm saying it's bad, it's fine so far but i feel like is lacking something, i'm not talking about the jokes or toilet humor, i'm talking about how the premise lacks a stronger "punch" compared to the other series, Roku already knows pretty well what it is and i know what it has to offer and is so far deliverying it just fine and Drawn to the Fire is the same, it already knows what it is and i already know what to expect from the series development and so far is pretty deliverying it but Class 2-B? It is a school comedy about Valaris tripping all the time and Kumon trying to take a shit every chapter? Or is a serious manga about the Heroes from another world trying to kill Valaris? but if is a serious series, what is the endgoal here? I feel like as a school comedy the series will just get boring pretty fast but if goes serious i feel like it will be just a "Hero x Demon Lord" generic fantasy action series, and yeah i know is only 2 chapters but so far i don't feel much engaged with the story exactly because there's no strong premise or goal estabilished in the story and the humor isn't particularly strong too, Roku so far is funnier.

Roku's House: And it just keeps getting better, when i got the raw chapter i knew this was going to be a popular chapter with the jp audience, and yeah, they're all over Sachiko, and yeah she was super cute and also sexy, i really didn't expect that 2nd part, Nakamura even changed his artstyle like twice drawing Sachiko and it was definitely impactful, it even felt like there was some potential shipping going on? like i read in someone's comment, a cute & beautiful long dar haired girl in sailor uniform that like to talk about manga with me? Please i want to stay curse for the rest of my life! LMAO!

Btw, Sachiko is huge, just like these girls in Agravity Boys

I'm just waiting for a beach or some kind of chapter that involves changing clothes and Sachiko will probably trend in Japan kkkkk

Drawn to the Fire: Pretty cool chapter, so far this is a very solid sport series, it's like what i said about chapter 1, the series has this energy and enthusiasm in the dialogue and interactions that makes it very entertaining to read and the spread pages are pretty cool, so far the author is doing everything well, even the "arrogant" thing about the mc has already been toned down and also this time is the adversary that provoked it first, that's how it should have happened in the first chapter, and from what i've seen in the comments online, they seem to be positive so maybe there's a actual chance? i really hope because it will be sad if we get another Green Green Greens or Martial Master Asumi in our hands, we need a new f@cking sport series to succeed in this magazine.

I think people's issue with kgb's current arc is that they assume it's going to be kakashi gaiden in length but it's looking to be as long as the SBA "saga".
We're already missing out on Hiyuki and Hakuri, now we're gonna go presumedly 60+ without chihiro too.

Finally check out Drawn to the Fire again, and i really think this series could have successfully garner an audience if it had much better art. The first 3 ch is kinda solid. I like the 3rd one the most. (i know kuroko had terrible art at the start but i think current jump readers are much more reluctant to give new series a chance)

I also think Drawn to the Fire is a terrible title for a sports series. If i didn't know any better, i'd think it's a slice of life manga;

Btw, already reading some mixed reactions towards chapter 2 of Class 2-B, nothing really bad but some thinking the humor and characters are flat and that the series might be too "Gintama fans will enjoy it but the rest will not".

He's good at emotional writing (and we've known that for the most part) but he sucks at technical writing.
Kinda late to reply, but here’s my two cents: UD and Kinato has something that the other lack. UD is great at hitting the emotional beats but is weak at the technical aspects to the story. Meanwhile Kinato is strong at the technical aspects of writing but lack the ability to pull off the emotional punches.

It gives me no joy to see their entire batch go bust, but if it does, I sincerely hope the two mangakas team up for a new series. Hopefully, they have a good editor that can take their best traits, mix them together and create something special.

Exactly. UD also has better character design and artstyle while Kinato can draw better fights.

I'm fine with that, Gintama's humor is something that's hard to replicate.

I really doubt Gintama fans will enjoy it. In fact I doubt people who believes this has actually read Gintama

If my hunch is right, Sachiko is going to get bumped up right into the Female Lead role after the introductions are done for the rest of the curses, and as soon as the manga enters into its first long-running arc. Out of all the curses, Sachiko and Johann are the only ones that immediately stand out.

That said, Altra (the mute marionette) may be the most plot-relevant curse and the one with most influence on the story later down the line.

What the magazine lacks is sports manga, and the only sports manga in the magazine is going to flop, serving instead as a stepping stone for two comedies that bring nothing new to the table.

Genki Ono's old artstyle was perfectly suited for sports series, man. Blue box did him dirty.

What do you mean BB did him dirty? Ono was an assistant on that series.

That's what i meant. After Full Drive and Draconir, he switch to a more romcom artstyle.
Terrible decision making. His art became completely generic after that.
