That’s because they also deeply love it. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin
If noone else get me, i know BROseph got me. You clocked me so hard

Exactly lol. Opposite of love is never hate. It is indifference

I think it got to a point where gege gaggers simply has mindset that their author simply can do no wrong. I got reminded of OP fans with their GODa

Thoughts
I haven't read much of the Gintama manga (only the first ten or so volumes though I have seen the entire anime) so it's nice to see that Sorachi can draw some decent battles

Chiwa is wife material and now I want Under Doctor to live

Shiba is the best character in Kagurabachi and if this chapter doesn't prove that I don't know what will

If Miura doesn't drag things out too long I could see Blue Box end in only a few chapters; probably won't happen since Himaten is also about to end and I doubt Saito would want to lose two out of three romance series in the same batch

So I was having a talk with my friends about the next batch after these 3 and one of them, being Anubis said out of 3 possibilities, we might get a batch of 2 with one of them being a romance and the other a battle series. Then I thought since Blue Box and Hima-Ten! nearing their conclusions, do you think anyone here predicts Sezaki-san (the GFC winner) will be published by then to not worry about the stiff competition? It helps that it will be only in competition with Someone Hertz, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have 2 romcoms instead of just 1.

Don’t get me wrong, I also know that there are Signal All Red fans here too, but I see that released when Which Watch is near or is at its conclusion to help give it as a proper passing of the torch. It’s due to it not just being a romcom with its premise, but it will also fill the same niche with its comedy and slice of life aspects that can work with a series like this.

Do we have a rough guess of when WW will end? End of the year, maybe?

I was guessing 24 chapters, which in this case is the end of the year. However, a friend of mine outside believes that there is one more arc afterwards where this mission will fail, and lead to one final battle.

I am curious what Blue Box is going to do going forward, in terms of character arcs everything is mostly concluded, it's just some minor side character stuff then this final match against Yusa left to go.

Taiki is going to nationals after this but there's not really any schools or rivals built up on the national end, the culmination of all the badminton stuff is Yusa. So is it going to skip/summarise the nationals since it's not really important besides the fact that he got there? Or is it going to continue on as a ful sports series introducing new conflicts for the sake of extending the series? I hope not, I'd rather the series got a proper natural ending instead of pulling a WSM and going on for years past where it should've concluded.

Whew, what a week. Finding 2 hours to review all the chapters becomes more and more difficult.

1. Akane-banashi: I really, really don't know how anyone could surpass what Akane is doing right now. Audience is so drawn in that they don't pay attention to their safety, as if the God of Death is smiling upon them. Even I don't want any distraction to deprive me of the conclusion of the story. Rakugo magic has really strong spells.
2. Witch Watch; I am shocked! What is going to happen to one of my favourite characters in all of Jump? And what about his alter ego? What is he going to say to him, and what will be the consequences? If Sorachi seems to have lost his touch, Shinohara is able to take the mantle and modernize their patented style for greater enjoyment.
3. Kagurabachi: Well, the negotiation didn't go so well... rip flashback people, you will be missed. I was wondering why he didn't use his piercing power on him too, but I got my explanation at the end. I like when plot holes are addressed before they expand.
4. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: The battle went into a climax and Kiyoshi lost, which is a choice that I like. Despite what is going to happen next, in the history books it will be written that the villain defeated the protagonist fair and square. And about what is actually going to happen next... it's the Genkidama basically. I like that choice as well.
5. Blue Box: This is it, the final showdown. I can see the series starting to wrap up completely after the ultimate sports battle. This chapter did a good job of hyping up the match, let's enjoy it since this is as close as a succesful spokon rivalry climax we can get at this point.
6. Drawn to the fire: I keep liking this series a lot. The characters feel very alive, and the basket scenes that are supposed to be epic deliver with the art and the pacing. In this chapter, the team is fighting to avoid humiliation, and I can't wait to see them dragging out the opponent starters one after the other.
7. Shinobi Undercover: A cool battle climax chapter in pure Shonen Jump fashion. The former enemies team up, the protagonist is stronger than anyone combined, the enemy is beaten with kindness and is in his way of redemption. All the tropes are there and work in sinergy, for a satisfying result.
8. One Piece: As transitional as a One Piece chapter can get, but it wasn't bad to have a recap this time, and also all parties moved forward a bit. With the enemies revived, the fear of a battle solved too easily is sent away; there was also the chance to make the owl much more interesting than he was before.
9. Someone Hertz: We were probably just being introduced to the main villains of the series, the ones who partecipate and win with no real passion. The guy is spitting in the honor of Mon-mid contestants! I like the idea of the Rookie Round, gives Mimei a short term goal and gives us something to look after in the next few chapters.
10. Nue's Exorcist: Kasha became a JoJo character, complete with a JoJo convoluted plan. Gakuro, one of the most idealistic beings in history, is a good contrast for his vanity. They both make fairly good points, except one of them actually makes evil good points,
11. Sakamoto Days: Finally a worthy opponent for the strongest new assassin of the arc. It's a pity that the "hero" still needs to be helped, and anyway I didn't understand why a shoe specifically, but that's cool I guess.
12. Ichi the Witch: Because of the break I forgot the whole "traitor revealed immediately"plot. They don't indulge on it much and move directly into action, setting up a fun but not remarkable transitional chapter.
13. Under Doctor: A strange, pace-breaking chapter where nothing of relevance happens, a luxury that only estabilished series should get. But as I browsed through 18 pages of nothing, there was a twist that I liked: this was truly her day off and she was able to enjoy it without severe interruptions or appearences from her past, only a minor detour near the end.
14. Me and Roboco: I got a few laughs this time. This is a very typical scenario to parodize, actually I am surprised that we needed 280 chapters before getting there. But it was different than usual, so in the end it was an episode I could appreciate.
15. Class 2-B: Hero destroyerz: A slight improvement from the previous two chapters with the first attempt at something semi-serious, but there's still work to do. I liked the idea of having the nominal hero play the part of the factual villain, and there are a lot of classic Sorachi in lines like "if the hero killing people is justice, then saving lives is evil". But the poop jokes still can't leave the room, and there isn't much sustance in this showcase of repeated formulas. I wouldn't mind for this to be axed and for the veteran to let new talented artists to take the scene.
16. Alien Headbutt: Once upon a time, this was a series about fighting aliens with plausibly scientific wrestling. What has it become in the span of 13 chapters? Was this the end goal even if it wasn't running for the axe? I wouldn't have liked this shift even after 200 chapters.
17. Kinato's Magic: Nice chapter actually for the most part, but then...the pelvis. Of course, the best way to heal her is to shoot an energy ray on her pelvis and enjoy her reaction. Oh what a great example of writing ability.
18. Roku's house of oddities: So the trend is set at one chapter per curse, which is a good thing to let us know them better. Unfortunately, while the previous two were pretty funny chapters, this one didn't convince me much. The reaction of Roku after having heard what kind of curse he was is too forced, and it doesn't make sense that he escapes police after showing them that he was carrying guns. When it is played too seriously, a chapter of this series shows its inconsistencies.
19. Hima-Ten!: I am baffled at what happened here. She basically gave up and served a huge assist to her rival (who she now recognizes as an actual rival). These are the signs that the series is rushing to the conclusion, and unfortunately to the most obvious conclusion. We shippers are disappointed.

I see it concluding after Yusa. Why else should we extend this series with unexpected conflicts. It would be like Kaguya from Naruto, why introduce someone new when we haven’t built up that rivalry to make us feel that spectacle. It will amount to nothing if that happens.

His shoes have rockets in them. So firing the shoe made the rockets actvate ig.

Idk man. I love me a Jump MC with alien tentacle powers and his qt goat girl pet sidekick.
Like another user said, Nei should have been introduced at like chapter 2-3.

Brings back trauma flashbacks of Yamada and the Seven Witches not ending after the fireworks and somehow continuing on for years and years more...

Ei Yamano (Someone Hertz) gave an Obi Recommendation to Vol. 2 of "Futari Bus"

Sakane Toyohashi (Futari Bus) exchange artworks in return.

Futari Bus is a romance manga serialising in Weekly Shonen Sunday. (IT'S REALLY GOOD!)

Shangai Ronren by Takahata Yuu (One Shot)
Well, I liked what I saw and thought of it as unique. What are your thoughts on this week's one-shot, as well as the jump giga ones?

Overall, I think the one-shot has potential for a full series, but I do think Yuu has a lot of creative ideas in his head, so he could deliver some interesting works later down the line. I think He and Yuta Kato have potential for a future series in the magazine, so let us see how the other three one shots fare off.

I read the oneshot, the proper title is Shanghai Longren. The premise is quite interesting at least, it's about a Chinese mafia family whose heads divided up and ate a baby dragon between them, gaining powers from the part they ate. The two MCs are the heiress and her butler who left the family (the butler also having gained dragon powers), and are now taking out the mafia stopping their crimes.

I don't see it being a hit as it is now since how it all played out was too much of a by the books Jump battle shounen, but with stronger characters and perhaps a more emotional core it could be good.

Longren? Do not know the word. Anyway, it is an interesting premise and I do agree that it did play safe, but with a strong cast of character and a more genuine emotional core, it could land well.

At least that is what think. But considering Yuu tends to like doing a variety of different stories with different genres in mind(But still keeping the battle shonen formula in them) I do kinda doubt he would make a series based on the one shot, but I could be wrong.

Although am torn if he did do a series based on one of his one shots it would be kinda hard to choose.

It's just Long meaning dragon, and Ren, meaning person/people (from Chinese, since it's set in China). the Shangai part is just people mistyping, even the kana is Shanhai (ie Shanghai).
