Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

All that talking about Under Doctor having a fanbase and it goes back to the bottom 4 XD. And once again, we can't even determine if its scalping or not because they're going to throw a kishimoto obi on volume 2 or something. I will stand steadfast in my belief that its being propped up by jump.

You guys are too obsessed with the scalpers thing, Under Doctor is far from being the first case of a series with decent/good sales that keeps going up and down in the ToC lol

Personally I think Class 2B been awful the whole time and that these placements are deserved but even I'm surprised at it somehow dropping below Kinato, which has been dead from ch 11. I really wonder what's with the massive drop to be that low. People just voting because it's Sorachi before realising a few chapters in that it's actually quite bad? Fake boosted ToC positions that Jump gave up on due to how badly its performing?

Or did Jump voters actually quite enjoy the first 4 chapters about pooping at school and really, really hate it going full isekai? WSJ (and perhaps Shueisha as a whole?) is typically highly against the modern isekai genre after all, there's only been a small scattering of examples compared to some other publishers being dominated by them.

Under Doctor's reprints have literally shown up in Shoseki for a week. It's best comp is Witchriv over in Jump+ which had a similar debut and a similar trend in reprints. There's no reason for scalpers to still be buying it up a month after release. This was a plausible theory on Day 1 and should've immediately been dismissed when it resurged once the prints came back.
How is it even being propped up by Jump? It's mostly in the bottom 5 and the recommendation is likely from Posuka whom Tanimoto worked under and follows the official account.

Personally i don't think its much of a mystery, first chapter was indeed pretty praised online but quickly went south with the average readers but obviously Sorachi name alone would carry the manga for few chapters before even that start to worn out and people get bored.

If it happened a little slower, or was only around the middle before like the first ranking, sure, but going from 3 top 5 placements in a row to 2nd last the next issue is a very extreme drop. Usually if people were just getting tired of it, it'd drop over a few chapters as people get bored at different rates. But it dropped on ch 5's ranking which was the chapter where the school got isekai'd. I can't imagine it's purely a coincidence.

Sadly I'm sure Kinato's already gotten the death sentence, but imagine the chaos if it somehow scraped by another batch with Drawn to the Fire and Class 2-B staying below and and getting cancelled first despite the colour pages (though that would explain why they shoved them right to 3rd last even with the colour).

Yeah Yabuki has said on July 2 he's been working on many To Love-ru projects since the end of 2025 which many would be announced on Summer, the GIGA chapter will be just 25p so obviously isn't only a chapter, i'm praying Part 3 is finally announced

I know he did Kochikame one shots before, but all those loose one shots are not enough for a volume, right?

yeah as you said... officially the series has ended but the author will keep publishing the series with one-shots sometimes

He's done enough extra chapters to fill 2 volumes which have already released after 2016. He'll keep doing them until he's had enough

Issue 34 Votes:

1: Akane-banashi (I was fairly set on thinking Kaisei was the correct option to win, but this chapter did a wonderful job of bringing me around to the idea of it being Akane. The fact that it seems to really be a win for both of them despite Kaisei losing to her is very fulfilling.)
2: Under Doctor (Very prolific chapter here, possibly the best this series has been thus far. Shuli’s grapple with mortality is only rivaled by Haiji’s superhuman ability to calm the situation down for someone as stressed out as a kid doing surgery. The enemy siblings were a nice touch, and Haiji still getting ready to treat the big bro despite ejust getting treated is a great way to demonstrate his beastly physical stats as the Under Doctor without it just being a punch-fighting fest.)
3: Shinobi Undercover (This one kinda just put a big smile on my face the whole time and was also entertaining, Santa is becoming a master of making Aoi’s every mundane expression the most heartwarming thing you’ve seen and Takegushi’s humor on top of that is becoming a delightful combo. I only wonder if we will actually have to confess to Aoi by the end of this arc, as that will do some pretty drastic things to the character dynamic (Hibari herself also has to grapple with her own emotional things this arc, which I’m curious to see what comes of that).
4: Sakamoto Days (Wow, I’m actually shocked. At face value it looks like all 4 of them are just dying here. Now that clearly won’t be the case… but I really have no idea what’s going to happen from here to wrap up this big battle, even just with Sakamoto alive.)
5: Someone Hertz (This was a treat watching Kurage grow in her interfacing with others and also sharing part of her mischievous self with Mimei. It’s small steps, but I can feel them getting closer.)

6: Hal Formula (Getting into some proper technical breakdowns of the track now, I like it. Hopefully this multi-chapter race can keep the thrill up!)
7: Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi (Akari new ability is a neat way to use the grandma! Also curious to see if she will get a look at Demon powered Kiyoshi and what her reaction to that would be. In any case, this does feel to be staging things such that Rushihara will be our final boss for the series, assuming we don’t end up in some wild “battle against heaven” position.)
8: Class 2B: Hero Destroyerz (Probably the most I’ve continued to laugh at this series so far, Valaris’ absolute failure as a Demon King is always a great crux for turning serious encounters like this totally whimsical.)
9: Roku’s House of Oddities (Very proper character focus chapter to change the status quo just a little. Kabaneji might currently be my favorite of the 5 curses, so the other 4 have some catching up to do!)
10: Cannon Master (Actually a sick fight, and I will be curious to see how much we proliferate this idea of Bharat being a much more competent opponent than he paints himself as when he puts himself into it. Really though, I think it’s to emphasize that Bharat as a normal human is extremely skilled but lacking in brute power against a giant beast, and thus is just the opposite of someone like Ur who is an inexperienced ball of mass destruction, which makes them a great pair.)

Regarding other series, seems like Ichi may be starting a new arc? But it’s Amadoro’s mission so I really don’t know if we’re gonna get that on the spotlight. Witch Watch has started a flashback that will probably not hit hard until a little further into it I assume. And I had to look up who Grandpa Danger was, but for what little context I had while reading it was fairly funny. Happy as usual to see more Shitotsu action in Nue, though I do NOT remember this dude we’re facing now so I will need the Nuebros to get me up to speed on that one. The rest was okay.

Joke aside, if it really will replace Sakamoto, I do not see any announcement coming until AFTER Sakamoto's penultimate or last chapter. And they will never word it as "to start after Sakamoto ends" or something. They will just include Bleach as part of the next batch announcements without fanfare

If it got announced too early, it will have the unfortunate effect of people rooting for Sakamoto to end ASAP because they like Bleach more, which is extremely disrespectful for Sakamoto (it is already happening RN)

I feel like people are taking Animal Signal's 9th place rank way too lightly. As soon as I saw it, I thought it was a terrible spot to start in, so I decided to check every single debut TOC ranking for new manga since 2020 to test my theory.
Looking at the data, not a single manga that debuted at 9th place or lower during this period managed to survive. It's a really bad ranking! Series starting at 8th place have made it through, but 9th? Zero.
Of course, this doesn't mean Animal Signal is 100% getting axed, but it’s definitely a bad sign.
