Vintication, finally. Although Rincon ain't really something am particular at I do know that having kuroki is going to be a really good deal for this type of thing.
Grey Keys by Natsuki Hokami (Gakutei Higuma, Kimetsu Gakuen) will start in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #41 of 2026! The series is described as a Demon World story!
Look at that Hokami returns after a long period of time, I think 7 years. Hope he has massively improved.

Once those five have done their stuff is when I do think we get another series of new batches.
Now I know for a fact we are going to get another batch right in the between of the ending of the issues of 2026 and the beginning of issue from 2027. This time I really hope we get a all newcomer batch cause it has hit me like a ton of bricks that we have not gotten this kind of thing for a hot minute. Most of the new batches where filled to the brim with returning authors, the only newcomers were Kyo, Inui and Machida if am not mistaken.
Speaking of Machida, I do not like the drop whatsoever but alas am curious to see what transpires. Meanwhile Animal Signal got a early color page indicates its a hit already but it might be a good idea to wait and see as this has happened before and it lead still to cancellation. Hal Formula is the more surprising one to me as it managed to maintain its position, I do not know if its a good sign or not in his case.
Might make a post about some rookies that I think are going to debut outside of the three golden cup winners if anyone is interested in seeing me ramble.

Kinda surprised that not really anyone has talked about this new one shots from giga summer.
All and all it was a really solid batch of one shots.
My reviews of each of them are as follows;
Shinden Kaime, at first i thought it would be another exocist one shot but came back surprised that it was unique enough in it own right and did not follow any of that, however I will say it was unoriginal. As the story felt formulaic at best as I think I have seen several of this kind of story beforehand, however the strongest part of the one shot was clearly the art itself, it was beautiful to see across the pages and the paneling was awesome. The only think to improve upon is just the story so it does not fall under the same old stories we see in one shots these days.
Yokai Specimens our first exocist one shot fo the issue, can already feel a vein popping from Shinuki from here, but I admit that while the art was rather weird at times, the story beats were unique enough that it left me wanting to see what else this type of story could bring with other potential specimens. The thing he would need a bit more work is the art itself as while the creature designs are awesome the characters kinda felt a bit basic to say the least.
Shinobito is made by a former participant of Golden Future Cup and an assistant for Sakamoto Days, I gotta say I was expecting a exocist story using ninjas as a background but instead it felt more like a coming of age ninja story with plenty of action, however I felt the story was a bit cliche to say the least when compared to the likes of something like Blade Kid(His one shot for GFC). All I can say is that he should really lean on his art a bit more is all I would say as it felt like it changed drastically compared to before. But I do hope to see him debut with a full series in the future.
September Heat Haze , one word to describe it: Immaculate. The art was solid and the action, for how little it had, felt heavy and important to the overall plot and the main character's relations with the cast was apparent enough that it was fun to look though and made me want to see more. This is one of those authors I REALLY think we need to look out for in the future.
Pancho and the Magician is a fun story as it kinda felt fun and unique and the way the author uses his art was also quite a treat as well as how the story continues . I would not mind seeing more of his works in the future as although I did like it I do think his paneling could use a bit of work.
Send Smile was something i thought visually i would dislike heavily, but boy did the art kinda make the story for me as for how unique it is. Basically its about a street performer doing his usual weird stunts until he finds out about a circus coming to down and from there the story changes by a bit and it was honestly one of my favorites fo the entire issue, also the fact that the author's art makes me feel like he may have been an assitant to the great Kazuhiro Fujita is enough to make me root for his success. I kinda want to see him debut in the future with this kind of art style.
Lycanthropy, great art with what looked like an interesting premised turned out to be the most formulaic story out of all the one shots in the issue. Its basically a exocist one shot in all but name. I do not think he is ready to debut and instead he should drastically improve the stories he dies make in the future.
A Love Story for Angels is a unique premise for a more romatic story that i have seen thus far and i cannot find myself hating this whatsover, the dynamic between the characters was unique and how the story concludes is quite the surprise. Honestly the only flaw I felt needed improvement was the art in all honesty but that I moves over time. Cannot wait to see what else is in stores for the author.
Tensai Gusō Sora Ki tuó Roku Gen another participant of Golden Future Cup as well as an assistant for Sakamoto Days taking part of this batch of one shots is a sign to see. Anyway this is far more action oriented than the one shot he did for his GFC debut, but I could see that it could do with some improvements and I did like the dynamic between the main duo of the story. I will say the character interactions remain his bread and butter, the only downside is that I think he needs more practice in the sense that he could do a lot more in regards to the action.
Rising is a story that i felt was just overall fun to see by each page. The dynamic between the leads was fun to see and the overall character desgin and art was something really awesome to see, i would not mind a continuation of this story just for what it could bring alone. I would not mind seeing this author debut soon whatsoever.
HELLO WORLD! Is honeslty a fun and unique setting that was overall one of the highlights for me in this issue alongside some others, the world was interesting and the art really sold it to me and how the digital affect the world in real time was really fascinate, as a newbie writer myself I could not find myself hating this whatsover. Would love to see the author debut in the magazine if they could.
Death Metal Exorcist was a surprised to me, I thought I would hate it but boy the art and the way it visually shown how the story played out was actually quite solid, the author clearly knew what he was doing here and I cannot fault him whatsover. Also his designs for the monsters is really something else. I for one would not mind seeing him debut in the nearby future cause I see plenty of potential with him going forward. This coming from a guy who is fatigued about exorcist themed one shots should tell alot.
Reika Jōonji, the young lady who works as an exorcist was kinda bland in its comedy and cutesh art. It did nothing really for me compared to the other one shots here.Hope the author improves after this.
Saint Break, not going to lie i was excited for this one shot based on the visual alone but my brother in christ did it feel lackluster, do not get me wrong the art is great but the action was not really good as it did not really try and put its weight around a bit meanwhile the story felt once more generic in the way it presents itself. I think the author needs a bit more time in improving bothers the action and the way he tells the story in my personal opinion.
"Nanja Q" was cute with its artsyle, i can tell it had alot of heart in this with the way the story seems to be told, so the only suggestion I could give is trying to improve the story just a tad bit more. But I would not mind seeing him make a few more one shots around his artstyle.
Spy Mission Failed!? The True Path of Self-Defense is a comedy one shot that felt a bit too absurd even for me, mostly because of the different artsyles for its main duo. Which I admit is quite clever but alas I felt like the comedy felt a bit bland compared to many others before it. I would hope that if he continues making comedic one shots he learns to improve the story, I can get past the art if it improves but it needs to make a better routine for the comedy aspect.
25 +364 was interesting because Esaka proves to be a solid artist, however I felt like the one shot was formulaic for a shogi based one shot, as I felt like this kind of story was already done plenty of times already using the sport in question. So for the writer I suggest to improve a little more and not fall for the same pit traps others before it have done. Meanwhile I think Esaka could try again with another writer.
A Timid Vampire Basking in the Sun has some interesting art and an unique way of storytelling, however I felt like some of its panels were not doing so good, so that place could use a little work. I mean he has a foundation just needs a bit of improvement is all.
Sukurazawa Went to Hell, is kinda crazy, I could tell that it was an interesting story and the art nailed it in some way, however I do think he needs a bit more practice as I noticed he just started this year, so would be good for him.
Even if the World Ends Tomorrow was interesting in the sense that the art is kinda amateurish but how the story presents itself in each panel was quite interesting. I think just improving the art will be enough.
Hitahita Cat was interesting cause I could tell it was made by a recent rookie with their art style but I do like how the more dramatic scenes played out. I think the author has a good future going for it, just needs a few tweaks in his art style and I think he is set.
Short stories one shots: I admit all of the authors have potential but I would like to see more of their official work before making any comments.
