yes i think that this logic is quiet apt in this situation... and in reference to the final round of the chuunin exams, i would have picked Naruto as the winner against Sasuke at that point in time... this was pre-cursed seal level two and a point when Sasuke wouldn't even release it at all...

i haven't been read the entire argument, but i haven't seen one very important fact stated... Jiraiya couldn't defeat Orochimaru, and Itachi didn't even use MS on him, screw that he didn't even turn around to paralyze him, and could have probably killed him then and there... so how could Jiraiya...
