Still waiting for translation so I'm not exactly sure what is happening here. But what if, Rak is really dead and this is his virtual self trying to escape who has no idea he is just a fake and hence unable to leave the simulation? :(
No one seems to bring up that fact that Arlen is still immortal and probably alive in the current timeline which begs the question of where she is through all these events?
