TBH Sanji is the last Strawhat character who should get CoC. It just doesn't fit with his character as the most beta Strawhat. At this point Killingham should just kill him to give Luffy more motivation.

We don't know in what state will Imu be after comming back from current fight. Also don' forget that Laffite is there, and they have warp warp fruit.

That is true but at this point I am almost 100% sure that Imu would rather kill Luffy and everyone who saw him, then take the children, and keeping anyone of those people alive means huge lose for him.

You know that Imu winning the fight = everyone's dead? Only real conclusion is getting back to base because time is up. There is no other way for Luffy to not die.

You know what's the difference? Gaban can block Imu's swords with his axes. Luffy can only run away and shot from the distance.

In One Piece? Akainu for example going for WB head and for Luffy heart in first chance he has.

As long as each hit is not 100% for the kill, he is toying with Luffy. For example Law could come with room, change sword with small rock and Kuma then teleport away Luffy to save him while Gaban block Imu. You want to kill someone? Do everything to kill him with first possible attack.

No he is not. If he went for the kill, he would cut his head off the second he can. He does typical villain mistake - keeping his enemy alive so he can mock him more.
