That would be fine, but the problem lies in the execution. It's better to show, not tell, and the issue here is that Konomi isn't too good at showing that Obandu is challenge for Ryoma; all he did was give him a before-seen jump gimmick. It was just really tacky, if you ask me.
American team is OP or PoP + Glow Shot got nerfed in one fell swoop. Konomi wtf
This was really weak. From everything we've seen before, PoP required the player to be pushed to their limits to realize that they were having the time of their life even if they were on the brink of losing. Now...
There does seem to be some sort of confusion between Zetsu and In even among the people behind the scenes. I remember in the 1999 anime when Gon and Killua were trailing the Spiders and got caught, Nobunaga says that they were using In in the Japanese version, but in the dub says that they were...
I've caught up with HxH before Togashi started making chapters again. I'll get straight to the point: This Dark Continent Preparations Arc is confusing the hell out of me, so can I get some answers please?
1. Why is it that the Organization is allowing Hunters who just passed the most recent...
Actually, JoJo pretty much started the whole spirits-do-the-fighting thing in Japanese literature/comics. It also started the trend of having ability-based powers rather than fisticuff martial arts, and I am almost positive that this is where Togashi drew inspiration for Nen abilities. Well...
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Spoiler Thread (Next Ch. August 4th)
Kikumaru? Please, there's Nioh.
WoK? Please, there's Nioh.
Nioh + Any doubles specialist = Just as good combination. Kikumaru has no spot here. The WoK were only hyped in PoT. It's pretty clear that they aren't as good at the HS...
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Spoiler Thread (Next Ch. August 4th)
Atobe is a better captain than those two. Yukimura pretty much let Sanada be a Rikkai's captain even when he was in good health. Yes, they're all loyal to Yukimura, but Sanada's definitely a better captain than Yukimura. And Atobe...
Someone mentioned that Konomi might be trying to "finish off" with developing all the characters, and I definitely agree. Most, if not, all of the middle schoolers have no real reason to develop anymore through the eyes of the readers.
Ryoma was never the main character. That is to say, he was supposed to be, but all throughout PoT he barely develops, and when he does it feels seriously forced by Konomi (Oh, he just suddenly loses his memory; talk about filler, and "Was tennis always this fun?" was never a problem for him to...
Doubt it. Considering those were mostly one-liners it makes sense. But like I said, we already had an arc in America where English speech was only used once or twice.
