I believe V was special to her because he was born with "wings of freedom". This is a stark difference from the other FH who looked down on the tower inhabitants and now consider them bugs. So V was different. Different enough that he regularly quarreled with Zahard. It is easy to see why...

Do you think Gustangs comment thanking the "ingenious son of Khun" was servile flattery or in high regard? Gustang typically refers to anyone below a FH as a bug and this compliment seems uncharacteristic.

With this chapter, I think you can see where elements of SUI storytelling are coming together. There were elements I questioned in the past that I can now see may have a more significant meaning. The idea that Trau gave up his memory just seemed too weird. Why? In this chapter, Trau says Baams...
