She knows about the kyuubi insite naruto, so thats not why she is surprised. She's surprised because the kyuubi chakra can be compared to Sasukes. She didnt expect the chakras to be the same.
The itachi theory is a long stretch, i think.

Didnt think it was dumb, it shows how spirited naruto is and that he wont become a ninja 'by the book'. That makes him the destined child i guess, but thats off topic.
Well if he says something like that again it wouldnt be cool anymore thats for sure. He needs to see the bigger picture here...
