The shadow doesn't really look like shanks to me. It have a long coat, but that's it. The collar doesn't look the same, and the down part doesn't look similar either. The sword have the same kind of grip (Cavendish also use one like that), but it doesn't have a piece that come out like Shanks...

I think Shanks will be the last ennemy for Luffy yes. Oda like to take inspiration in other stories, and I think Shanks will be similar to John Silver in Treasure Island. I don't think a nice guy woyld have so much influence, i can imagine him as the more cruel guy at the end haha.

Luffy still have to awaken his fruit :) Imagine if he can turn the things around him in rubber. It would open a large path for new technics :D
