Like the name suggests, it's a beast made of nen (conjuration, obviously). The denomination "nen beast", though, usually refers to Abengane's (the GI nen eraser) Hatsu. His beast is actually made of nen, plus it feeds on it (see chapter 147). I'd say that Goreinu's gorillas are nen beasts also...
