Yeah... maybe, It looks more "special". The thing is lightning magic is pretty "normal" we can see that magic in a lot of characters in the manga anime world and in some point we just get use to it, we think is simple, but that's a pretty strong magic if you think, fast, powerful, versatile,etc.
