YESS Escanor vs Estarossa was my dream fight this arc but I knew it was unlikely to happen since there is Meliodas. After this chapter though, its certain to happen at some point. Can't wait.

The funniest thing is how everyone expected Escanor to beat the shit out of Gowther, for the latter to finally get what he deserves. This chapter is gold just for that.

Ui looks really badass. Can't wait to see him fight in this arc. We haven't seen him in an actual fight since Eto in the prequel. Hope he fights Shikorae.

This match has been one of the better, unpredictable ones in the manga. I've genuinely enjoyed it.

But this is the first actual on screen shokugeki in this purge. Everything else has been done off screen. The one that needs this win more is Central imo for the readers to take them seriously. The Eizan loss had a bad effect on many. Also I think its too soon for the main group to be better...

What does the "rookie" mean in this situation anyways? i feel like I'm missing something. Isn't everyone that isn't Azami E6 a Central rookie since they were just recently chosen?

I dont think you guys should read that much into the Eizan match since he lacked the prep time Souma had and the dish he made was just something he came up on the spot. Perhaps even Rentarou could beat that version of Eizan too

All those were off screen though. That doesn't satisfy me.
