I have just accepted that the fly was a plot device, of course Big Mom would have detected them with her haki. But hearing would have been enough in this case. One Piece can be lax on such things sometimes, at least it doesn't mess up with the bigger picture so it's fine for me.

I would go with Nami only because she's one of the "founders" along with usopp, and he already has it. But Brook is a very good candidate, I'd dare to say that his "soul" fruit and haki should actually be somewhat related. It would be cool if he could adapt haki to his own abilities like luffy...
