I find it really ironic how Shicca, which has had less than 200 chapters to its name, has gotten closer than NaLu, which has had over 600.:blink
Also, I appreciate Rebecca being the bigger woman, and not gloating or savoring her time over Labilia. It shows how fundamentally good she is.
For a very brief one shot, this was pretty good. I'd be interested to see him tackle more serious styles and ideas like this. I guess it shows how far he's come as a mangaka that he's now drawing artwork for prominent games like this.
I do read it, but most of those changes aren't especially dramatic. The most dramatic change is that Jinn and Kleene's have longer hair, and that the characters look slightly older. Not exactly the same as abruptly cutting Erza's hair to such a degree.

I do like the look of Erza with short hair, but we all know that won't last (since Cancer can make hair grow), because 1) Mashima has shown he's not a fan of major redesigns in his characters, and I think Ueda will oblige that, and more importantly 2) Erza has a personal connection with her...
I'm willing to guess that this next arc will be one of those arcs used to showcase what the characters can do since the time skip (perhaps like the Fishman Island arc in One Piece), in that they'll face a fairly local threat, which they'll deal with fairly quickly and easily.
