Sanji wrecked Oven. That was dope. For a second Oven thought his step dad was strong. I think it would make more sense for Luffy to make sure his friends are safe than to fight katakuri. Just KO the witch and dump her somewhere. The writing is getting sloppy but at least we get some battles.

Luffy could potentially defeat Katakuri without using Gear 4th. He has the strength, not the temperament. Maybe we will see Luffy mimic Son Kun and use Ultra Instinct. Luffy copying Katakuri is karma.

If Luffy has to come back for Big Mom then I wouldn't be surprised if the Mom Pirates are superior to the Kaido's. I don't think Kaido is as strong as Big Mom and I don't think he has a subordinate on par with Katakuri. I personally want Katakuri to be saved for Zoro the next time the SH face...
