Actually the higher the pressure, the higher the temperature for solidifcation, and even tough salt water has a higher density. the temperature won't be lower in such high pressure... simple physics, anyways why is everybody picking and such things as the thermodynamics of the manga, it does not...

He needs to if he can't see a thing and just tamed a BIG OCTOPUS, anyways before this gets out of hand is my opinion that Luffy used CoO to find them, but maybe it was just luck cause we know that Luffy has an extraordinary luck :D, does he not?
