'Failure is the mother of success' was a nice poetic touch.
I like Tamako's character design, but I can't unsee that she's just Soma with longer hair and makeup.
This has probably been mentioned before, but I realised something regarding the name 'Ballywood'. Could it be Barrywood instead? The nickname of the previous US president was Barry, after all. In any case, it was funny seeing some of the other kings and queens. I see the union jack (almost) on...
Big Mom is a great caricature of certain people in this world that talk about peace and equality but end up being destructive and dismissing others.
I found it interesting that she imagined sitting with enlarged versions of Mother Carmel and her friends. It's like she knows deep down that she...
Reiju was captured. The second-last page shows this. But notice how in the previous chapter, Reiju looks like she is escaping or running away. Did this happen before or after? That's the only thing I'm not sure about.
Personally, I would prefer it to all the rebels going through or most of them being expelled. I don't know how much of an ass-pull bringing back expelled students is. Edit: I believe that one guy who lost to Eizan got brought back, although the circumstance was different. Purposely trying to...
My guess is most of the rebels will fail. The mangaka could always use the old soma-gets-azami-to-step-down-and-bring-back-the-expelled-students plot device. Then, ideally all the students would do the exams again with the old rules, where under-performers actually fail.
Late reply from me, but the relationship between Naruto and Sakura has been a little ambiguous for me. I think it was mentioned/implied that Naruto loves Sakura, but it always seemed like a school crush to me. I didn't think even Naruto took it seriously. Kishi never explored their...
All the Sakura bashing is unfair. I don't think her feelings are stupid, but it was executed badly by Kishi, who has ruined her character throughout this arc*. In fact, this whole chapter had a horrible script. I cringed when Naruto was telling Sasuke about Itachi's words.
*Edit: Speaking of...
Re: Naruto 692 Discussion / 693 Predictions
This isn't a matter of revenge for Sasuke. His extremist ideologies are a result of his traumatic experiences. He is so damaged that he genuinely thinks what he's doing is justified.
If Naruto manages to talk Sasuke out of this "revolution" (which is...
He was the second commander of the Whitebeard pirates. It would be ridiculous if he wasn't capable of using Haki. So what if he didn't use it in the war? A lot of people didn't.
