There's a big chance it's not a tennis tournament but another sport (like that one beach volleyball tournament in PoT). Since Duke paired with Fuji rather than Niou (who went with... Kaji), Yanagi paired with Mouri, and the replacement characters are participating, I think this happened right...

Nah they are all different auras. Herakles had one too. Only Sedah and Zeus had the same one.

At the end of the day Konomi is telling stories and Fuji (along with most of Seigaku) "suffers" because he was a main character in PoT and we saw his story already. All he had left in NPoT were his rivalries with Ryoma and Tezuka but like every top player has those.

Remember that it was an odd translation, though. Switzerland were number 1 in terms of depth, not in top strength (which makes the Australia victory against them rather impressive). So they can probably field 3 very strong teams, even if their 7 best aren't better than Spain/Germany/Japan...

Probably Siegfried? Tezuka pushed him to evolve so much. I do think Frankensteiner is pretty underrated, though. The accuracy he showed against Tokugawa/Yukimura was like the vest we've seen. Ryoma only played the bottom ranked HSers in USA, right? It's the equivalent of him beating Hakamada...
