You have a great point, i understand what you mean.... however the point i was trying to make is that, IMO, with swordsmen like zoro and mihawk they may slash about against their enemies (the tougher opponent the stronger the slash) but when it comes to cutting substances it's not any normal...

I think he was surprised because he didnt expect a diamond man to block the attack, with the whole him not being able to cut jozu thing, i actually think if he wanted to cut diamond he would do so, i think he have to have more focus on the attack if he knew what he's cutting...take zoro...
