Ok so possibly jiraya didn't know, but can you honestly tell me that tsunade didn't know her own grandmother was a jinchjuuriki. Or at least hadn't found out some information after becoming hokage, the previous hokage's must've kept diaries.

You say that jiraya didn't know about kushina being a jinchjuuriki but when he and tsunade had their remenisence, tsunade said she hated lying to naruto. so they must've known something.
