Doror was quite popular, but it seems Vinland wasn't doing so hot at BDs pre-orders. Also Dororo and Neverland didn't went so far from 1.5k BDs sold that is a meh number to be honest.
Nothing actually makes sense except if they took numbers from like end of September
If you wanna say its digital sales, how is kimetsu 1.2 million less than the oricon number which is physical only
If you wanna say its circulation. Kimetsu was 3 million at the start of the year and was 16 mil...
It seems it's just circulation numbers. Also, One Piece digital volumes are delayed by a month, so is almost impossible that this numbers include digital.
It doesn't matter if it has het pairs. Fujoshis care about bishounen boys, and their friendship and partnership between them. Then they imagine their ships. A manga doesn't need a BL couple to have a fujoshi fandom. (Also if I remember correctly, Kimetsu has a 60% female 40% male split in...
A manga doesn't need a good adaptation in order to have success (the prime example this year is Gotoubun no Hanayome). Look at Fire Force that have an awesome adaptation but its BDs are almost selling nothing. What an anime need is somehing that catch the attention of the viewers.
-Spy x Family made by CloverWorks (but with the staff that did the Kaguya-sama adaptation) or Trigger
-Jujutsu Kaisen made by Bones or Production I.G
-Chainsaw-man made by David Production or Shaft
But that doesn't matter. In Japan, Act-Age is selling a bit more than 110k per volumen (first month). They were talking about the possibility that an anime adaptation could make Act-Age even more popular.
