What's weird is you want me to show examples of Zoro and Whitebeard doing something that Law hasn't done either. All of them have avoided fights but none of them have run away from fights they can't win. Which actually isn't true for a few of them. The Kaido fight wasn't what you described it...

So you want me to give an example for these characters that doesn't apply to Law? Seems weird. The Kaido fight wasn't what you just described. It was a conflict Luffy went out of his way to start. EDIT: Are we forgetting the whole Shabondy Archipilego arc? Or Impel Down?

But this ignores guys like Whitebeard and Doflamingo who do behave that way. It also ignores that Zoro has shown he won't fight if not necessary at times.

There's no logic in One Pieces power levels any more. Characters just randomly get stronger and weaaker as Oda sees fit with them, regardless of logic.

Yeah, Luffy is dumb. Most other conquerors wouldn't attack Kaido there, especially if they had a massive plan to attack Kaido at a later date. This is not Law running from a fight, its him choosing when is best to fight.

When has Law run away from a fight? In fact he's incredibly antagonistic ever when it goes against him.

So the argument is that Law avoids fights sometimes (He avoids fights less times then he knowingly takes them on) and that's why he's not a conqueror. But then you have Doflamingo who is a conqueror who bent over backwards to avoid fighting Kaido. You have Whitebeard who actively avoided...

This is flatly wrong. Multiple different character types have conquerors haki. Laws character clearly fits into this group of characters that Oda has set out. It's a cop out that he doesn't have it.

It is because we have no sense of achievement due to the inconsistency. When Law goes from losing to Doflamingo, to a week later (With zero story progression for him since then) fighting Big Mom with Kidd, who is established as multiple levels above Doflamingo, then there's a big problem for...

It's terrible for the plot and the overall story. There's really no sense of understanding as to what threats are because Oda retrospectively alters characters strengths. This inconsistency leads to a confusing read for the viewers and trivialises a lot of the threat set up.

I think the biggest head scratcher is Trafalgar Law not having Haoshoku. I understand Oda is trying to do something with him and Kidd having facets of Luffys special features but it just looks silly when in context of the story.

You have to remember that Luffy is a Yonkou. So he's in the same sphere as Big Mom, Kaido, Shanks and even Whitebeard. So when you put him in 1v1's against former villains, figure out how well these guys would do against Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom. That should be your judge of Luffy.

Why? Luffy kicked his ass ages a go, he had little to no character or backstory and he served his purpose narratively. Luffy since then has exponentially gotten stronger and has moved on from that stage of his piracy. Having them be any sort of threat either physically or narratively would be...
