He's Sun Wukong -- the monkey king in Chinese folklore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Wukong). I gotta say though, this manga has really jumped the shark. :/ I kinda wish everything was scaled back a few power levels but now suddenly Jin Mori and the Shark Guy are just way overpowered.
