I have been discussing this with the lady this weekend. Each beast was given to a nation as a way of giving a truce by the 1st hokage. each nation kept theres in a host. what did konoha due with theirs? they blame a natural disaster and some blame madara... but who was their host? it...

nah ones a summon with weapons/scroll the other is a pact with animals/daemon/spirt/god etc... and much more involved. also includes a blood pact... so in sasukes case it wasn't just a piece of paper he found i imagine

if its danzo's gitsu i think its a plot hole... : 1. danzo didnt see itatchi at the time of his death. much less probably in last 10 years... he looks much different.. would be hard to fake a gitsu that doesnte ven look like him 2. madara and sasuke were the last few to see him, they know what...

he looked like he was pretty po-d at danzo to me... and his infamous "i'm behind you " trick however i don't think he is proud of sasuke yet he needs to redeem himself ... maybe thats why itatchi trusted a more clear headed hot tempered naruto
