    Cleaning how much to crop

Not really. The margins are there for a reason, after all. That's how the mangaka finalized it. I only ever cropped a straight line along the edges after rotating the page to make sure it's straight.

    Cleaning [Cleaning] Redrawing Dotted Lines

That's what we used to call 'Speedline Hell'. It was basically patterns with speedlines over them. It was a pain, but mostly you just dropped a replacement pattern over it and redrew the lines with the tapered line tool in 'Shop. It took time, since you usually had to redraw other stuff, too...

Cleaning Need some help with MQ scans.

Using Topaz was your first mistake. You want to clean that by hand. It'll look so much better.

Typesetting Wild Words intl in OTF (find or make?)

I think ccWildWords (the International version that I bought) would work.

Discussion All The Needed to Create a Edited Manga Group

While dropbox is a great resource, adding an FTP to your own site is not something you want to overlook. Being able to allow for multiple individual accounts to access their own and group contents is a great things. Plus, you can piggyback it on your own website. Look up hosting from Dreamhost...

Editing Practice #02 - The Lesson

Re: Editing Practice #002 - The Lesson Your image link seems to have gone all 404 on you. Might want to rehost, possibly to a more stable host? Imgur, perhaps?

How did you come across MangaHelpers?

MH used to be the heart of the community, allowing raws, scans and releases to be hosted. That's why I posted my scans and Ju-Ni releases here. But now...

Movies The Movie Thread! - Continuation

Probably not. I'm sure it's an Asylum Films (or whatever they're called now) knock-off. You know, the guys who did Transmorphers.

    Miscellaneous Font Database

For all of you groups who do non-english, I recommend WildWords International for all the fancy punctuation that regular WW doesn't have.

Cleaning Orcist's Quick and Dirty Precleaning Tutorial

Ugh... Denoisers and blurring... You embody what's wrong with manga cleaning these days.

    Cleaning Borders Tutorial

I use the rectangle tool set to paths to draw a path around the panels I want to stroke, then stroke with 2px pencil. For diagonals, I make the shape, drag it into place and stroke twice with a 2px brush. Once I'm done placing them, I just delete the excess. I work on several layers to make...

Cleaning Help with cleaning this scan?

No. No, we do not use Topaz. That's the opposite of what we're going for, as the OP said. That page was scanned with "Auto-correct" (or whatever anything outside of Photoshop calls it) and with a white background. They combined to wash the hell out of the image. Your best bet is to find a...

    Cleaning Preserving the 'pattern.'

Weekly pages are ugly. The printing is occasionally uneven and even if it's not, the quality and coloring of the pages themselves (at least in Jump) makes preserving the patterns an impossible dream. Your best bet is to either replace them entirely, or just wait for a much higher-quality...

Scanning how do i rip apart the manga volume book?

If you don't care about the spine, you can use a saw. A very fine-toothed saw like a hacksaw will probably be best, as long as you go very slowly to keep the pages from tearing. This method is NOT recommended. Your best bet is to get an iron. Heat up the spine of the book and every once in a...

Misc Attempt Clean check/advice, tips, tricks?

THANK YOU! I've been saying this for years, but now I'm hearing my cries begin to echo among the masses! The best way to clean is to actually do the work necessary. You need help, find more people to help. Don't whine about how long it takes.
