From reading the chapter, i got the impression that Sai's last words: "We'll destory Konoha as it exists today" could take on double meanings.
1) the obvious/immediate interpretation of the "roots" joining hands w/ Oro to literally destory Konoha as it exists today OR...
2) to "destory"...
