I'm going to wait and see, but I suspect that's a mistranslation. "Hoshi" literally translates as star, but can mean either star or planet depending on context. So I'm fairly sure it's supposed to be "enough energy to destroy a planet".

I wouldn't expect more than three. The only way this makes sense is if they were planning another 6 round serialization but between timing and the COVID disruption they were forced to break it up into three and three. Otherwise they wouldn't be due to start anything new for a couple months at least.
