I don't trust that 4th army commander accepting Kallavan's terms without a backup plan in his mind in case his exploding ship plan fails. I think telling Kallavan to release his arm seal might be so that Kallavan will die as well with the rest of his troops eventually. Perhaps there is a curse...

I don't know how the fight with Kallavan will pan out but i do know one thing, if Kallavan gets defeated i want it to become in a more dark and gory fashion, like being decapitated by Bam. That will spare us from eventual talk no jutsu, we have heard Kallavan's opinions and side plenty of times...

I believe that skill (Endless Sky) manifested when he ignited the thorn, which he hasn't done thus far (to pierce himself with the thorn shards). Probably due to that, or because of you know, reasons.
