Itachi meeting Naruto was just a way to show that Itachi might not be as evil as we think he is. I liked the Jiraiya parts too. It does seem like he is going to die. I predict that when Naruto finally confronts Pein that Jiraiya will come to his aid and die saving Naruto.

Re: 359 Predictions [Naruto] My prediction is that before this fight is over Sasuke will learn the benefit of using teamwork (likely from Naruto) and that will be how he learns to be Itachi. I don't really see how Sasuke beats Itachi one on one.

I think Orochimaru won overall, but Sasuke is still in there fighting. It's clear from the backstory that Orochimaru has prepared for the genjutsu. Sasuke used the same thing, but now Orochimaru has figured out a way around it. I also think the point of showing the "bodies" of the past people...

As one poster mentioned, I think he is supposed to look that way. In following up on another post where the poster was commenting how the second half of the manga has had some unrealistic characters, I think Kishi is writing them that way. I think he is showing that there is a price to be paid...

I agree with you, but I have a feeling that Sasuke's bragging was done on purpose. As someone else pointed out, it is kind of like Neji bragging early in the manga how certain people were destined for greatness. This is just setting up Sasuke for his downfall/humbling.

I don't quite see Orochimaru having a "good" side. Yes, his original intentions may have been good natured, but his acting out of those desires was never pure. I think this was soley meant to show part of his backstory. I also think there is no way that Sasuke will lose his body to Orochimaru...

I have to admit, I was disappointed when reading the spoiler for this chapter. Having read the chapter itself I thought it was better. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one!
