I think Mihawk could beat Shanks in a fight, but Shank's Haki would make him more formidable against other opponents; logia users and such.

Re: Bleach 387 Discussion/388 Predictions Prediction for 388, we go back to HM, finish that shit off. Hopefully we find out what Mayuri found (wishful thinking) or we get confirmation on whether Ulquiorra is dead or alive. And of course some fighting with Yammy.
