It's more the fact that Nakaba decided to reintroduce this humanizing thing with him hesitating at the last minute. I feel like so far Fraudrin's development so far has been poorly handled about whether or not he has softened up, since this is the first time in several chapters that we've seen...

Having Fraudrin be killed off now would be stupid as hell. Nakaba's writing isn't great by any means, but I trust that he has the common sense to know that killing him off after a moment of character development is a whole dump of wasted potential.

Full Counter might be genetic. I don't really know what desire Meliodas would have to unlock an ability that reflects attacks. Maybe at one point in life everyone kept wanting to fight him and he got sick of it so he unlocked Full Counter so he can end fights quicker. :P
