If you look at this page http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/415/06/ you will see same tentacle like in spoil's pics. I think a kiuby can't be cut...so it was a fake tentacle (it was a hideout for Hachibi).

I think he will be back again from death and seal the 8 tail beast. In my opinion Sasuke wait to meat the REAL beast (final transformation) and after that will seal it.
The price will be Sasuke`s team members.
