I know what you mean. But I feel that Naruto's goals will not be truly accomplished if Sasuke dies like an evil asshole. What I mean is that he made a loooot of stupid mistakes (and continues to do so), so Sasuke seeing the light and dying very shortly after (like in a Hinata-save-type of thing)...

He will probably survive as a cripple....maybe lose his sharingan/memory/chakra...whatever, but he will still live IMO, simply because Naruto's whole quest was to save him and bring him over to the good side. If Sasuke dies, Naruto and his obsession would have been futile...A waste of time...

Dying a second death will not have a lot of impact, seeing as Kishi broke the rule of fictional realism. (Even for a manga, he has to maintain a set of rules to build his world, and he broke those rules for cheap twists). Maybe Ita's death will fit in the plot context at the time, but I wouldn't...
