Think of it this way. Kubo has a limited number of pages every week. I think he would love to show the other characters in HM, but, that would divert from the primary story sequence which is Ichigo's transformation. It almost as if he is leaving...

I get the feeling Ichigo's Dad will come in at some point. I don't think inoue will die... But as as stands, Ichigo can't do shit to ulquiorra. Either Ichigo finds something within him.. or he gets saved or both.
