You can't regenerate boiling your blood and vaporizing it. We have to assume for now the technique is completely lethal, regardless of your regeneration.

Actually this is quite normal. Shino's giant bug attack doesn't seem well suited for an attack against a fast moving, dodging normal ninja. His other attacks don't require him to actually touch his opponent in such a direct manner aside from the tracking bugs he uses. Shino didn't use this...
