Maybe the Anime elaborated on this bit? Either way it was a jutsu impressive enough to defeat a tailed beast (albeit one without a host), but not too impressive that he gave himself away to Deidera.

Re: Naruto 485 Discussion / 486 Predictions I think that would be a better solution than the one from a very good post earlier about Naruto forever challenging and beating Sasuke. Whatever Itachi gave to Naruto might be this solution? I think Itachi said he hopes Naruto never has to use it...

As kingplaya(minato) said above... and also I guess they were just for aesthetic purposes, he had to make sure his enemies could figure out how to work out Izanagi ;)

Re: Naruto 485 Discussion / 486 Predictions They have the teacher/student bond, that's why Kakashi says 'now I know how the 3rd felt' ...when he faced Oro. Nah, he's using a regular ol'rasengan to counter chidori, Naruto doesn't need to step it up ...yet ;)

That would utterly awesome. We would get more Jiraya moments and possible Oro guest appearances, heck even Itachi could pop up, right?... But perhaps not something as long as Naruto is, I wouldn't want Kishi to accidentally spoil those characters...

Re: Naruto 483 Discussion / 484 Predictions That makes sense, but we don't know how often or how much Itachi used his MS abilities in all that time, maybe he was quite sparing. Add to that Madara saying he can't bluff it much longer and that light from his eyes has nearly extinguished...

Re: Naruto 483 Discussion / 484 Predictions Logically, a refreshed and, as far as I know, full strength Kakashi should defeat an out-of-chakra Sasuke. Of course Kishi doesn't follow logic so I expect an equal fight with a less than clear ending. Having Kakashi give Sasuke a resounding beating...
