This is just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's an anime that coincides with the release of the manga by the time that happens.

Extremely disappointed with Witch Guardian. It did nothing new, it is nothing new, and it feels very shallow. The mc is horribly generic and so is the rest of the story.

I loved the first chapter of UxU. It was really intriguing, and felt like a breath of fresh air in the magazine. I'm interested on seeing where this is going. The dynamic between the two MCs is awesome. This has potential.

The 'Witch's Guardian' series is a giga oneshot from 2016 with the same title: 魔女の守人. The other series seems to be from a new author; though I could be wrong. You're right. I copied the post from the WSJ server.

Your wording was.. interesting... to say the least. But okay. Still doesn't change the fact there's 3 empty slots even in that issue. The amount of series and available slots in the magazine doesn't change when you have oneshots in one issue. Oneshots still don't count.

Oneshots don't count as series. Since the Dr. Stone spin-off has ended there are officially 17 series in the magazine. Feel free to count. Typically 20 series is the max the magazine will have at one time. Therefore 3 empty slots. Yuuna, Zip, Agravity, Dr. Stone, One Piece, MHA, Demon Slayer...
