It's just me being too lazy to come up with a reply for with Irene's fans. It’s exhausting arguing with Spriggan fans, and even more so with Irene fans.

The nature of your arguments is terrible. If Motherglare requires the energy of the entire continent to be defeated, why would she lose to a meteor that didn't even damage Erza—even when she had broken bones—during the Alvarez arc? Irene is the only character whose dragon form was undone by a...

That meteor didn't defeat Erza, who had every bone in her body broken, in Alvarez. That spell shouldn't cause any damage to dragons, and the BDSK, as well as mages above that level, would likely be able to handle it easily.

The point is that Irene's fans are assuming she can do this under any circumstances, which isn't true. Irene isn't on Motherglare's level in a normal situation.

I don't get these Irene fans. Motherglare requires the energy of a continent—one fueled by the power of the Dragon Gods—to be defeated. That is far more significant than anything we saw from Irene during her fight against Erza. Under normal circumstances, Erza never would have managed to win...

Erza, with Irene's power (supposedly), is not strong enough to defeat Motherglare. She needs to absorb the power of Universe Omega to be able to defeat her opponent. So, this didn't increase Irene's power level, let alone Erza's.

People are singing Irene's praises, even though this is really just a case of Mashima's poor writing; having failed to develop Erza at all, he had to latch onto the only significant aspect of her backstory—something he had spent years making sure to hand over to another character (Wendy)...

Mashima is messing with the readers. Was Elfman teleported, or Mashima did he forget he was in Mirajane's fight against Scissor? And Erza Belserion? Seriously, Mashima? The same recycled design? Motherglare turned back into human form? Lol.

Mashima doesn't even remember what he wrote during the Labyrinth arc. Wendy was already referred to as a High Enchanter during the fight against Haku. What happened in the current chapter was Mashima wanting to praise Wendy, but doing so haphazardly because he doesn't remember the things he writes.
