Re: Fairy Tail 172 Discussion/ 173 Predictions I think that it's great that Lucy showed up; this arc will give her a chance to not only grow stronger, but to hopefully gain confidence (seeing as she won't be able to rely on Natsu). The fact that she can still use her magic also helps...

Re: Fairy Tail 171 Discussion / 172 Predictions I don't think it's that they are the strongest, but that they are the best at running away. The way I read it made it sound like they were just good at not getting caught and that's why they are still here.

That's a good point; part of the reason could be that Ace's "death" (still not totally accepting it) was such a twist of events, he wanted to make sure almost no one would see it coming? (i know i sure didn't)

I know, but at the same time, their goal was to rescue Ace. I agree they mangaed to free him, but they failed to escape with him. It'd be really awesome to see that "Or not..." chapter, haha [hr] I think the most upsetting thing about Ace's "death," besides the good guys failing part, is...

Though I'm really hoping Ace isn't actually dead; there's been quite a few instances in this manga where it appears as if a character dies, and then they end up okay. Remeber when Usopp "died" in the Arlong Park arc? Or Zoro, who was supposed to die in place of Luffy in the Thriller Bark arc?

Yeah, I agree. Even though Ace is my favorite character from OP, his death was just so sudden and unexpected I was mostly in shock. With the Going Merry it was more drawn out and emotional. I cried so much. :/ (though I cried when Ace died too)
