as mentioned above: as i remember it was said in the manga that madara used ms to often and went completely blind. so there was no way for them to change eyes.

i'm wondering all the time when naruto gets to know, that the 4th was his father ... maybe now, with jiraiya's book he'll make a step closer to know it. because i think, when naruto knows it, he will gain another boost of power or motivation.
