The end-game here is Sasuke being freed from the genjutsu he's been under the whole time; he'd been genjutsu'd by Madara from the beginning, as was Orochimaru. Everyone, except Naruto, is in danger. Itachi had broken free from the genjutsu, and that's why he identified Naruto as the one to save...

Sakura could have used this in the Sasuke attack where Kakashi and Naruto's clone saved her... Perhaps Hashirama will do the sealed-existence with Madara. Why didn't this creature split to escape the seals, run out of the barrier...

Kakashi unmasking would be epic. His mouth should be a huge Sharingan. ;)

Relax. It's not a slam on past Hokages to suggest that the fourth has exceeded his predecessors. It's suggesting that he's fulfilled his role as a hokage, which was to do just that, exceed them and protect the village. One thing he did in particular was protect the future of the village/country...

Oro will not be hokage. His is the old way. Kakashi is most immediately viable, because he was already the interim hokage Sasuke is most like Kakashi, intelligent like Shikamaru (not to the same level, which is why Shika is special strategic council type), but powerful to be internationally...

When the comparison between kushina and sakura was made by Minato, and then he said "take care of my son," the relationship between Naruto and Sakura was established for good.

Chapter 510 shows that Nagato was also Uzumaki clan...I can't believe I missed this...and that red hair was a mark of their clan.

Let's not forget something about the Uzumaki, they were not part of the Senju, or from the same country/village. Chapter 500 illustrates that the Uzumaki were a people who lived long lives...meaning the ninja world is much older than Hashirama et al. ---------- Post added at 08:25 AM...

Actually, it says in that flashback Delbi linked to that the disagreement was over how to run the village. Of course, that story is up for change...

The extreme closeness to Hashirama that developed probably experienced the trauma of disloyalty/treachery in the form of the village demanding some kind of peace offering, and Izuma was the Uchiha sacrifice in order to save the alliance (like with byukagan episode). Hashirama probably opposed...

Great review. Perhaps this is the long-game battle of Hashirama and Madara...Madara planned to come back, and Hashirama had the foresight to plan to stop him. Perhaps this has always been the reason for destroying the Uchiha clan, the plot was revealed, but the culprits were unknown.

You cannot call Kakashi genius if he's astounded by Naruto's abilities (the fox was as well - claiming Naruto had even SURPASSED Minato). It's like people saying Socrates was the wisest man ever, and then disbelieving him when he said something like him not knowing much of anything...okay, so...
