I definitely want to play next season! Really like what the league turned into, it's ridiculously more complex than it used to be but it's still simple enough to understand. I'll try to vanish less haha.
Your strongest lineup was basically downright impossible for me to beat so I was just sort of hoping you wouldn't use it haha. Though in hindsight there's a couple different things I could have done...hm. I think your team will be fine for the rest of the season, it's very strong and more than...
Ah well, did my best! Was a blast trying to catch up on the new rules and try that out. Figured it would be hard to steal any Singles so I was betting on D2+D1 and hoping for a sneaky S3, but I figured that wasn't happening. Still, think I did okay with what I had so I'm happy with the result.
[Atobe walks into the locker room later. Suddenly, he realizes he's encircled by everyone.]
Atobe: "...What's going on?"
Sanada: "We are just here because we love and care about you."
Atobe: "But what are you--"
Yukimura: "Atobe, the first step is admitting you have a problem."
Atobe...
Man I wish I had time for this! I'd be too unreliable for it though so I'm gonna have to pass on it.
Glad this is still going though! I'm gonna keep an eye on it and watch things as well as I can. This game was one of the most fun things I've ever played haha.
Still got memories of abusing...
It's fair enough to point out that Atobe's matches weren't as lengthy as the others. I think what I was caught up on was less the length and more the kind of attention he gets - Yukimura's character arc seems very vague to me right now, in spite of his screentime. He has matches, evolution, but...
So I hadn't really been following the manga for a while and decided to go on a mass re-read for fun, I remember a couple years ago people used to joke that Atobe was the real main character of the manga but like...jokes aside, is he? He has the most pronounced character arc so far, the most...
If the author wanted to, he could justify it as them using Synchro (which we know they are able to do somehow) to use each other's techniques. I would want this twist to be real because it would make Niou fucking hilarious in hindsight because he'd have tricked the audience so hard he would have...
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Spoiler Thread (Next Ch. May 4th)
Playing against an image in your head is perfectly fine in any sport and can be a really good bit of training. That said, if I were watching Fuji have his epiphany after playing imaginary Tezuka I'd just assume he was high as hell...
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Chapter 137 Discussion/Predictions
To be fair, in POT land pointing a tennis racquet at someone is far more threatening than pointing a gun at them.
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Chapter 137 Discussion/Predictions
Ryoma is literally wearing the American flag now. I cannot put it in words just how much this pleases me. This is so American it makes me proud to be American despite the fact I'm Canadian. It's beautiful.
America out of 10.
You know, I can't help but cheer for America here--or at least for countries that aren't Japan.
"Ryoma, you interferred in that match. You are expelled."
"He was literally gonna kill him. With tennis. Like, this isn't even the misuse of the word literally. This is literally what happened."...
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Hangout Thread
I'm kidding, I just find Atobe's posing to be especially hilarious because he's like the one character in the manga that does it. Almost no one else does it, it just looks so beautifully out of place I can't help but laugh each time it happens.
Re: Shin Prince of Tennis Hangout Thread
That is beautifully disturbing.
A pretty good rule of thumb for Atobe references is "Is the character posing for no apparent reason? Is the character not from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? Then yes, it's Atobe."
