Luffy vs. Rob Lucci. That was one of the best fight in One Piece, due the the emotional investment and the many power-ups both of them went through, with the first (I think ?) appearance of Gear 3rd.

(edit) Screw that, I nominate Franky's cyborg powers as a whole. From an arm cannon to a laser beam, everything he does comes out of nowhere.

Foxy. He's just... annoying, and doesn't even have any part in the storyline.

From Robin : "I WANT TO LIVE ! Take me out to the sea with you !" Especially the voice acting in the anime. That line was one of the defining moment in the series for me.

Supported. I can't stand Foxy.

I nominate Duval for the Funniest Character. From his unexpected introduction, to his attempted winks, to his "handsome" fixation, his apparitions always make me burst into laughter.

I suuport the nomination of Akainu, for all the reasons stated by zellogan.

IMHO, Johann Liebert not only is the best villain amongst the nominees, he is THE villain. He is a manipulative and charismatic bastard with a cold, calculating mind, who doesn't feel a thing for other human beings. Although Hisoka isn't far behind, but maybe not for the same reasons.

It's probably not my place to say that, but I don't think Love Hina is a shoujo... at least, every manga site I just checked classified it as "shounen". Oh, and so that my post matters, I support Kimi ni Todoke.

I nominate Pluto for Best Sci-Fi. Naoki Urasawa + Osamu Tezuka = MASTERPIECE.

I nominate Soul Eater for Best Fantasy.

I nominate Shirow Masamune for Best Mangaka. Dude didn't stop at inventing new technological terms for his mangas, he created new kanjis to go with it. And, well, I guess we can say creating such things as Ghost in the Shell makes him one of the most important mangakas ever.

I nominate Usagi Drop for Best Josei.
